Dele Alli
Dele alli great player but has a darker side to his game maybe.?
Definate kick not seen by ref last night in fiorentina lucky not to have been sent off . And a deliberate knee on yohan cabaye at selhurst . if indeed he continues to play for England this needs to be addressed before the euros ?, we can't have him doing that sort of thing in France . |

Hope he does it in France (preferably against Wales) and gets himself sent off and then gets vilified like Beckham. Dirty ****.

With all the cameras at games now and Spurs being the media darlings, it is called devilment and the little bastard gets away with it. No doubting his talent as a player, but he will get his comeuppance at some stage if he keeps on having sly little digs in between his flashes of brilliance on the ball. Would love to have somebody like Michael Hughes or Sean Derry in their best days on his case. Afraid it will be someone like Jedi in his sluggish current form, who gave him the freedom to turn and hit that wonder goal at SP last time. Still hope Yannick, if he is ready yet and or Wilf, can upstage him, they have both shown great skill in matches which are just as good or better than the little Spurs shit has shown.

we don't want to take this part of his game away, apparantly.

They tried that with Kevin Muscat. In the end, they just took him away from the game altogether.

Cabaye don't have a short memory nor is he as nice as he looks, I'm sure he'll be hungry to get at Alli on Sunday on the ball and off it.
Work nearly finished for myself absolutely buzzing for Sunday. Most excited I've been about a Palace game in a while.

Nasty incident last one same as one on Cabaye - good to see Pocchetino came out and say he has a lot to learn.
Big talent though.

I actually like the fact that he's got a nasty streak. Not sure about everyone else but too many young players come through who are far too nice and therefore never adapt to the senior game.

He tried a stamp on cabaye in the selhurst game too. Nasty little shit. People say we should be pleased he's an England player. Personally I hope he tries to foul cabaye and breaks his leg.

I saw Alli in the dying minutes yesterday attempt an acrobatic volley with his back to goal. The commentator rather than saying he's wasted the possession, and given Fiorentina an opportunity to get back down the field. Instead he waxed lyrical over what might have been a spectacular goal. But it was a poor judgement, poorly executed, and gave the opponent an opportunity. At the time I thought to myself if that was Frazier Campbell, the commentator would have called it ‘a wild, desperate attempt” Fiorentina went straight down the other end and wasted their best chance of the match.
I am pro-youngsters, love to see great Engish talent coming through. He obviously has it – but why are they already bulding him up in such a manner? And their song for him is shit.

The thing is, you see the effect that being a media darling gets you. You knee Cabaye in the back, ref admits he didn't see it, MOTD etc ignore / skim over it. No repercussions. If Jedi or Wickham have a similar off the ball incident, MOTD highlight it, call it a disgrace and intimate that a ban may follow, and guess what? It does.
We are pissing in the wind if we try and retribute in a like for like way, so we have to just try and rise above it. |

He should have been sent off. Couldn't believe hearing David James (on BT) trivialising it (as Golf Boy has reported); at least the other pundits said he should cut it out and was lucky to stay on the pitch.

Yes, but you just know the first tackle Cabaye does on Alli, he'll be booked and then is walking a tightrope for the rest of the match.

Sky and bbc both highlighted the incident on windsor...your a good poster by my god you have a chip on your palace shoulder. Personally id say the English media and fans destory our talent far too often before they even make it.
As for Ali hes 19 years old and probably one the best players ive seen this season. If he can kerb his temper he could be a world class player. Hopefully in an England shirt he will have more support than he has on here. |

Trial by television? I wonder if this is able to happen in European competitions as we do in the Premiership. No question he is a wonderful developing talent, but he clearly needs to be brought down to earth from all the hype he has had heaped on lately, that act was clearly deliberate and vicious.
This is a side of his game that needs to be kept in check by his manager NOW, before he is allowed to let it become the norm to his game, as the nasty Roy Keane did. |

However, I agree the media build up players so that expectation is far in excess of what it should be, then dump on them from a great height when something goes wrong - same will happen for Alli, unless he kerbs his temper. Example - Wayne Rooney.

None of this detracts from the talent Alli possesses and he has been a revelation this season. Please note that I never hurled abuse at him as he has been a bit petulant like we all have at 19 and he will grow out of it. |

Could have a Beckham type sending off moment in the Euro's this summer with this side to his game.
