i'd rather see Palace get tough and pick up more cards from the referee than being nice gentlemen and taking it from behind 'prison style' every week. And we can really get nasty on Sunday because the FA cup is less important than Palace's future form.

It's a bit different though. Firstly, we are partisan - that's the point. Secondly, if Alli wants to put himself about and have sly little digs at people, he needs to learn a lesson.

People are still peeved with the little knee he put in the back of Cabaye - which you'd have thought put Yohan in a wheelchair going by the mass overreaction on here. Wishing for a young, talented, Englishman to be hospitalised is a bit much in my eyes. Especially when half of you will probably be cheering him in the summer.

Clearly many have missed his raking of his studs down Cabaye's calf which led to Cabaye's injury.
Alli should not have even been on the pitch to score that wonder goal and Pardew's saying that he has to remove this nasty streak from his game is spot on. Alli seems to make Spurs tick and Palace will do well to target him on Sunday and not just for revenge. 5,000 Palace fans giving him stick could push him over the edge and make him do something rash as we have to play on his petulant nature. He loves dishing it out but moans like a baby to the officials when he does not get things going his way as he showed last night against Fiorentina after he was left limping after a tough challenge. If he plays on Sunday let's target him at his every touch. |

Nobody ever ran further than Mark Dennis in such circumstances though

better player but not far off ravel morrison. when you give it the big one and kick someone on the floor. just like he did to cabaye you need to not shit yourself when the guy gets up, little flap. also kicking people on the floor who have no way of defending them selves is absoloutly scum, and not the image we need to be putting across. if they disiplined him early would look good and teach youngsters something, instead we are going to brush it under the carpet and make him out to be a legened, and then wonder why society is as shit as it is

Following through after making a challenge seems very much part of his game and that is not acceptable at any level.

I have no issue with him holding his own in a physical game. But things like these incidents are a little different and could result in a very serious injury. Hence my thoughts that he needs to learn a lesson. |

By talking about him as a promising young English midfielder, rather than a sly ****** who tried to seriously injury one of our players.

Would like to see him take a wack as he seems like a bit of a prick, but I must confess to liking players with an edge. Alli though just seems a bit of a petulant pussy and it doesn't really add much to his game (he is a great talent but I don't think of him as an intimidating player). When I think of edge I think of Sir Michael Hughes, who would rattle in to the tackle and impose himself fairly. That's the kind of edge I think adds a lot to players game, not cowardly kneeing and clipping players here and there.
Would quite like to see Wickham put himself about a bit more, he could really be a horrible player to play against. |

Modern day Lee Bowyer, with a bit more talent.

Nope. Raking your studs down someone's shin, or trying to stamp on them when they are on the ground could both cause serious injury. Or do you disagree?

The shame is, that goal he scored against us was truly wonderful, and he is obviously capable of some sublime skill.

You're right. I think we can all agree that we're fortunate Yohan didn't leave Selhurst Park in a body bag on that fateful day.
