west ham are still shorter odds than us to win the league

I'm loving the fact that they are getting stuffed every week.
Trouble is they're actually a good side and I think Bilic is a good manager. Enjoy it while it lasts

It's a shame our game coming up against them isn't at their place lol seems anyone can beat them there at the moment!

GK - Adrian. Good keeper on his day but is prone to errors. See Watford at home. Little pressure on him from Rudolph who has errors in him. Defence - - Something that was solid for the last year but they had better cover and a settled back 4 but started to ship goals towards the end of the season (averaged 2 a game in the last 10 last season which has carried over this year). - Jenkinson and Tomkins have departed. - Cresswell and Byram have been injured - Asking a lot more from Collins who is getting older - New signings Musakuku (sp), Nordveidt, Arbeloa haven't improved the team and are squad players. Midfield - -Noble's form last year was almost impossible to repeat and perhaps the lack of England call up has affected him. - Kouyate is so hot and cold and currently is cold - Lanzini had an injury hit start of the season. He was on loan last year, perhaps playing for the transfer? - Antonio has been there best player and his position changes 2/3 times a game, never mind per week! - Payet is still class above but has little to work with infront of him. Set pieces can only win you so many games. Forwards - -Sakho, Calleri, Fletcher, Zaza and Carroll. -They were trying to ship out Sakho pre-season - Carrol is always injured - Fletcher has jumped from League 1 to Prem - Zaza and Calleri are yet to settle and are untested in the premier league. - Barring Carroll (though not for his wages) I wouldn't be interested in any of them players, especially if you ended up in a relegation scrap. Benteke, Wickham, Remy, Campbell is arguably a much better front line. They have some good players and they wont go down, but injuries have left them thin on the ground and cant seem to work out a winning formula yet. Also, being dumped out the Europa League in their new stadium was a massive blow. Chuck the unrest in around the stadium and its unsurprising they are struggling. If you don't improve year on year then you are going backwards. What new players have they bought this year that has made you think they are going to be stronger?

Still find it bizarre they didn't go for Benteke. I know he was pricey, but Zaza looks like such a gamble. Their loss, our gain.

I don't think West Ham's form will last but I think they are suffering from emulating their form from second half of last season as much as we were last season trying to emulate our start to the season.
They have a good squad and have a few players to come back from injury, Cresswell is a huge player for them and probably undervalued by their fans in what he brings to that side. Ayew is a big miss the way he got injured on his debut too. I'm so glad that we didn't end up with Zaza, as reported we were interested (agent talk?) but he seems absolute pony. Chances are that they will play us and beat us 2 or 3-1 and it'll kickstart their season... ******* hope not though. Would be lovely if we heap more pressure on them! Who have they got next? |

Middlesbrough at home.
I can't see their form lasting but reading their forum last night it seems that thousands are already staying away and the soul seems to have been ripped out of the club so maybe it could. There's usually a "too good a squad for the drop" that gets sucked into relegation so maybe it will be their time

Why do West Ham always seem to have more injuries than everyone else?

It's #3 on their excuse list behind "Other teams play harder than us because they're jealous that we won the World Cup" & "Shit refs ganging up on us because they're jealous that we won the World Cup"

I popped up to the Stratford Shopping Centre yesterday lunchtime. By around 12.30 the area was crawling with stewards and private security. The WHU fans were already starting to arrive and heading for the restaurant bars. Not a bad set up actually. I didn't hang around long but would imagine the pubs would be rammo around 75 minutes before kick off. Quite looking forward to us playing there.

They've got the look of relegated West Ham teams from the past, that appeared on paper to be too good to go down.
