The respect of sundays being a family day or go out after 11, we we're always told as kids you don't bother anyone on a sunday but by the time I was 12/13 that then changed to don't go out until after 11am, just a respect thing I guess back in the early 90s as many parents didn't work sundays and that was their "day of rest" Do it with our 11yo now he went out after 11 and will be back for dinner and family games time.
The Waltons & Little house are on the True Entertainment channel every morning at about 6:00am

I wonder why they are less common now? Is it because there aren't enough charitable people who look out for them or give change?

Staying on the engineering side of things a sine bar was always needed, I made mine at croydon collage in the very early 80s and stil have it in my toolbox, alas never used along with my 0 to 25 mic .

It's weird but some of the theme tunes to 70s TV give me a lump in my throat, Black Beauty and Tales of the Unexpected being the main culprits.

The tune to Out of Town (Jack Hargreaves) used to be the Sunday theme in our house followed up with The Big Match.

The usual roast was always followed up with sea food or crumpets with celery and cheese or dairylea for tea.

What a great presenter Jack Hargreaves was. So knowledgeable and I loved his gentle enthusiasm.

I used to think how much Id like him to be a relative who I could visit on Sundays. I imagine hes always in a shed, pottering about.
