It's an Ales by Mail thing. Not sure why they started it, tbh, but each to their own.

Anyone had any of this company's beers. Found the white IPA in my local and it was rather good/unusual

Bizarrely, just after you posted about this, I got a box set of 4 off my brother for my birthday last weekend.

I will taste at some point and report back

I'm going out to Brussels for a long weekend in early October. Any suggestions re good bars would be appreciated.

Will probably also do a day trip to Bruges so would also be great to know where to go drinking there.

This weekend is the Faversham Hop Festival, I haven't been before but went through there on the train last year which dropped off plenty of sober people on the way down and picked up loads of happily tipsy people on the way back, they seemed to have had a good time.

Don't think that I will be able to make it but this may be of interest to others on here.

When we go the first stop is always the Cantillon Brewery which is about ten minutes walk from the Eurostar station (don't know if they open at weekends, probably best to check). To view the link you have to Register or Login

Others that are usually on the itinerary are:
  • Moeder Lambic Fontainas To view the link you have to Register or Login
  • A La Morte Subite To view the link you have to Register or Login
  • Bier Circus To view the link you have to Register or Login

Would love to do the Brussels trip one year but have exams 1st week of June and last week of November so this trip does not work out for me

Who had decided to go to Leicester in the end?

I'm on for it, and was wondering which trains people were travelling on - it's always nice to have company (and train beers).

Had another visit to the Mikkeller/3Floyds brewpub Warpigs at the weekend. Some more great beers, a collaboration brew with Alesmith of their famous Speedway Stout which was immense, also some new Warpigs brews with some extravagant names such as tap number 20 referring to Donald Trump as can be seen here To view the link you have to Register or Login

For anyone based near Oxted, there will be a new bottle shop/beer takeaway shop called Hop Stop opening shortly by the east side station exit.

Which supermarket would I get it in? So far I've tried a big Sainsburys (Holborn) and several small supermarkets, without success.

Yes, Waitrose is your best bet. Failing that Marks and Spencer sell a relabelled version (Greenwich Red).
