I think the best you can ask of a player is that he gives his best for you while he is at the club. Of course over the years we have had players who are Palace fans as well. There have been players and managers who have become Palace fans in their time with us.
In my experience and I think this is about the best you will get (other than giving 100% on the pitch and representing the club with pride off it) is the affection the club is held by so many ex players over the years In the end its down to us the supporters to show how much the club means to us and how much we are behind the team every match, that is what will make players who sign for us appreciate and maybe come to love Palace as we do.

Yes, and Coppell, Freedman, Kember, Morrison and Ambrose for example, not too difficult is it ? The thread starter just needs to look in the dictionary, then he might understand. ![]() Last edited by Celestial Empire : 01-05-2012 at 05:10 PM. |

Taking this a step further, I find it very immature when our "supporters" become aggrieved and very abusive when we sign players from our perceived arch enemies.
It always makes me laugh when players such as Ambrose, McCarthy, Murray, Lawrence etc, then go on to become some of our most consistent performers, and admired acquisitions. IMO, it doesn't matter where a player has come from, it's what they do for the club when they get here that matters most, and it just goes to show that seasoned, experienced managers know far more about the game than any of us wannabe's on here. |
