It surely has to be time to bring in TV replays.

Absolutely spot on. It's almost a given now that Pulis will never get relegated. I hope he takes them down and then the club go to court to stop him fvcking off two days before the Championship starts

One of the more intelligent observations on TalkSport, was about WBA's end of season run-in. It was Norwich-esque and makes me feel a little more at ease about our run in now.

WBA have 18 games left. Their last 5 games are:-

Liverpool (h),
Man Utd
Newcastle
Chelsea (h)
Arsenal

Now we all know Pulis helped Palace get 4 points out of that lot last season, but IMO, they need to be safe before those final 5 games. In other words something like 20 points of of the next 13 games. Big ask.

Unbelievable decisions in the Liverpool v Leicester game. So much money rides on these crucial decisions got to bring in more technology for managers to challenge the decisions. At least it wasn't us this time. Worrying thing is all our rivals put in powerful performances with goal threat.

Thing is, we are only one game past the half way point so it doesn't really matter about the run ins just yet in my opinion, but it is still a little comforting.

Would love Pulis to go down with them - would even make it a little easier to take if we dropped with them

We play West Brom just before they hit those games so could be a massive game. Our final 5 fixtures aren't much better

It would be like the tennis, where a player gets to challenge line calls.

Each manager would get , say, one decision per half- - four max for the game.

In Tennis and cricket there is a natural break in game.

Not for the line call challenge - that takes place during play.

I dont like the idea of a manager being able to stop play, it could be used tactically.

Can you imagine the outrage if we have a 3 vs 1 break on the counter and the opposition manager stops the game!!

I thought about this and I cant see anyway it can be bought in apart from like Rugby where the ref asks someone to double check

I see what you're saying but if it could only be used once, it would be most likely be on penalty decisions and off sides that did/didn't result in a goal, or maybe sending offs.

I think it would be possible to have appeals when the ball goes out of play. For example, McArthur's goal at Man City could have been appealed considering there was a stoppage for the 'offside' anyway. It is hard to know where to draw the line but with decisions of such important being proven wrong seconds later through tv replays it is very frustrating.

The ball-face "hand-ball" at Liverpool yesterday was a clear contender for a challenge.

I like the idea of having a quota of out-of-play video replay appeals, where if you appeal and are judged wrong you lose an appeal. Basically a limit on the number of false appeals you can make before you lose all right to appeal.

Think it promotes more honesty across all areas but needs to be tested to make sure matches dont start taking an hour extra to finish.

I get the argument for technology but using the 1st Liverpool penalty as an example is a joke. F*ck technology, the ref shouldn't have given a penalty full-stop. Same with how McArthur's goal a couple of weeks back should have been given.

Contentious decisions make a ref's life difficult and I can understand the arguments for technology. The two I've highlighted above should have been seen without the use of technology with ease. They were both such massive mistakes that in other industries the guilty party would have some kind of retraining.
