It's becoming the normal place to go after watching Palace lose yet again. Tried the spicy lamb wrap and feta fries from Greek on the Street yesterday, which was good, but I washed that down with marinated Bavette Steak and Coca Cola chicken wings from Wine and Deli which were both bloody marvellous (literally in the steaks case).
I'm doing dry January so I'm utterly ravenous at the weekends now I'm not drinking five or six pints of liquid carbs. The bloke sitting next to me got a bowl from Cook Daily which smelled incredible. Will try them next week. |

Aren't they just. Saw they're launching a new burger this week with bacon and cheese too. Not sure how I feel about that though - think I'm more of a Coqfighter purist.
The decor's never drawn me in, but tried out Bukowski next door to you guys for brunch at the weekend and the food was great. |

Fish, Wings & Tings - curry goat was a bit of a let down, just lacked any spiciness. Meat was succulent though.
Meal Box - Pad Thai was incredible.

Have to admit I'm quite disappointed in their food, their jerk chicken is decent on its own merits but isn't really what I'd call jerk chicken, it's just roasted chicken marinated in jerk sauce. Owner is one of the nicest people I've ever met though, and his restaurant in Brixton has such good reviews I can only assume it's down to the Croydon branch's chef being somewhat subpar.

should be no more than £1.20 and they are far too salty, mark up must be close to 2000%

So far I have tried a fair few:
Arancina pizza - brilliant - one of best pizzas I have had. Sausage and broccoli only £4 for two big slices too, great value Coq fighters - also brilliant, had the chicken burger plus vodka wings! Indigo - decent, but perhaps a tad disappointed as lots of rice and not so much curry when I went. Meat liquor - smaller burger than I expected esp for the £, but delicious. Chilli chips were very, very spicy. Again overall slight disappointment and expensive too. Greek on the street - lovely food, very good experience and good value! |

Their chicken burger is amazing but totally agree on the paprika fries. Truly vile and so salty that my mouth dried out and pursed up like a cats arse afterwards.
