Twickets

Folks,

The club have just posted that people who have season tickets can sell unused tickets at face value through that site.

I didn't know this existed, but it might help people here get tickets and sellers sell them without too much hassle re having to meet up etc.

Not sure if it's for all matches or just sold out ones, but currently on there it lists that you can sell for both Burnley and Hull.

I think SP has an interest in that company

the buyer is! I bought one for Saturday from twickets - there making money all round! It's a very good way for someone who hasn't got a season ticket to get in the holmsdale though.

How is the price calculated then? Is the total season ticket price divided by 19 or do they just pay the price of a normal individual ticket (i.e. £35)?

Guessing it's the latter, but surely that means someone could purchase an early bird season ticket then sell it on twickets every other week, making a small profit in the process?

Some really decent seats available for the Swansea game, loads of them and all over the stadium, particularly the Holmesdale, which is a bonus.
I bought my father in law a ticket for the forthcoming Southampton home game, as soon as it went on normal sale, and there was nothing like this range of seats available! (in the Holmesdale Upper)

I hope the club regularly promote and remind fans of this service, as it is surely far better to try and have seats filled than just wasted, and its a win-win all round.

Perhaps a silly question, but how does it work with season tickets? Do the people you're selling to get some kind of print out eticket from Twickets?

I think it's nice if you can give yours or your friends spare season ticket to a Palace fan though.

The buyer of the tickets gets sent an E-ticket by the box office.

I think it is the price paid for the season ticket / 19 (That's what the seller receives anyway).

How does this site identify genuine Palace fans from obnoxious away tools? And how does it stop touts from buying spares at face value and selling them in the street?

Once your season ticket seat is sold at face value you receive approx 1/19 what you paid for season ticket. The difference in prices is where Twickets make their money, presumably shared with the club.
You only receive payment if your seat is resold so I would advise anyone who sells back their seat to ask those seated nearby to verify if the seat was then used for the specific game if not notified of resell.

I'm the clubs harshest critic when it comes to tickets due to the small allocations taken for popular away games and phasing when it's not needed i.e. Man City away which will not sell out.

This however is a fantastic scheme that really will get Palace fans into Selhurst whilst also giving season ticket holders who can't attend some money back on their season tickets. It's not perfect but it's definitely a great way to ensure the stadium is full and it will also reduce the market for touts due to more tickets being available.

Well done CPFC.

Great idea.

I can't make the game tomorrow so have just put my ticket in the LH up for sale via Twickets. Means I get £20 back and gives a Palace fan the chance to go instead at a reasonable price
