Child season tickets can no longer be used by adults at evening games.
Just checked this with box office and they said this season it no longer applies and charged a £31 upgrade fee for Monday night.

Does it say it anywhere on the website?

The cost of the upgrade was surprising.
Can’t see it on the website but its very difficult to find anything since the change. |

That sounds like a high upgrade charge....is it maybe because you have a comparatively cheap kid’s ticket in a family area?

Cat A game I suppose. Cat B upgrades varied from 21 to 26 last season, depending who you got at the box office. Didn't seem to be any hard and fast rule, or rhyme or reason. Typical Palace communication really.

No, I sit in the Arthur Wait, it was £260.

I used to have to pay to upgrade our son’s ticket for evening matches which he couldn’t attend. It was about £20 then. Then more recently there was no charge for evening matches.
Sounds like they’ve changed back again? If so, that should be in the T&Cs so that parents are aware in advance. |

This is such a shame. I can see the point of charging to upgrade for day time fixtures to stop people taking the piss but to do this for night time fixtures is simply profiteering.
Last season my old man became ill so my youngest came with us instead. As an eleven year old he was using an OAP ticket which actually cost slightly more than the kids ticket. At no time was this challenged. The electronic turnstiles don’t discriminate.

I have forgotten reading the OP' first post and haven't seen anything official from the club about night games

Might it be the case that the Liverpool game on Monday is in the school holidays, so was never a "school night"?

Let's not let this grow legs. They are electronic card readers. They don't know who is presenting the ticket. The tickets look the same. Common sense to be used here.

Blimey, I can't go tonight and have given my ticket and my 12 year old son's ticket to friends - both adults. What's the comeback? Or do they just need to pay a bit extra?

Yeah, but they don't check each individual ST. You have to be really unlucky to be caught out by someone doing a random check on the off chance you're using a childs ST!
