The back of the upper is not worth being there. Genuinely would watch a stream rather than be that far back again.

Any recommendonations for the best Tube/DLR to get pre game? and is it true that there is very little away pub options near to the ground? |

Anyway, in this case you are 110% correct - that was my seat couple of seasons ago. Far better off saving myself £200 and stayed at home.

Read the page or 2 before before re. tube/DLR. Not an awful lot directly at the ground, Westfield has a few bars. Stratford is mainly home fans only I was told last time. There's a couple of suggestions in earlier posts, think someone mentioned Shadwell for pub and travel ease.

Any fans who have bought seats in the front 2 rows of the Upper Tier will get a phone call or email from the CP box office. Apparently they have just been told by West Ham that the front 2 rows of the Upper Tier are going to be closed 'for safety reasons' (even though they are above Palace fans in the Lower Tier). Presumably they will stand empty like the front row of the Upper was at Chelsea.
You will be given the choice of a refund or relocation. In terms of relocation, the Lower tier is completely sold out including wheelchair section, ambulant disabled seats etc, and the furthest forward seats now available are row 65 of the Upper Tier! Hey ho. I'll bring my binoculars I think!!!

What a piss take. I think as away season ticket holders who pay the annual fee to get first choice, you should be given a refund and a relocation as you've been completely stitched up for this one.

Its not great I agree. I said to the guy in the box office that everyone who will be affected are literally the few older fans and people with kids who really go out of their way at away games to choose specific seats like this for an unobstructed view, and this turns that very thing upside down!T
To be fair it is West Ham who have decided this, they sent out those rows of seats to be sold, as I literally have the actual tickets themselves, then have decided now to net them off for reasons only known to them. Don't think it will sell out though with BHA being the same week and everyone knowing how shit the London Stadium 'experience' is, and if that is the case, maybe even a whole unsold block in the Upper might be liberated 'sit where you want' style! That would be alright. And its only one game.

Can I buy a second ticket yet?
Seems not according to the website. If we don't sell out seems a bit disappointing. Last edited by Nth Kent Eagle; 28-11-2018 at 11:06 PM. |

Ooh, I might go to this. Bottles of Peroni on the banks of the Lea (or Lee) before the game, and a leisurely walk back along the Limehouse cut, back to civilisation after it (why queue for a train when you can walk? It's London FFS).

Why not just move everybody a couple of rows back? Send an email/letter out to everyone to say add 2 to the row number? Or is it not that simple due to the bowl nature of the ground?

We went to Hommerton last year, and then jumped in an uber.

Any news yet on whether we can buy a second ticket for relatives? If we haven't sold out why can't the club open it up like they have for the Burnley match?

I suspect there aren't many left and they're trying to let it trickle through to a sell-out at one per member.

If you miss a game this is a good one to miss getting to and from it is a pain and once inside its not a good football experience, of course if its a cracking game and we win it will be worth it so well done all those Palace fans who are going.

Still embarrassing if we can’t sell out a London away game

I’m going for the first time. What is the best station to get off and walk to the ground? Heard you need binoculars to see the game as well. |

Going to be manic in the area with Xmas shopping at Westfield and 60,000 fans at the stadium. Don't fancy drinking miles away then training it. I'll find a battle cruiser/cafe bar along the canal or perhaps behind the international station and have a beer and pizza.

If you can get a seat in the lower or at the front of the upper. Personally i think it's a very decent away day. The stadium and area it's in are very pleasant. Plenty of hacks to make it a more than enjoyable day out as well. Approaching the ground from Leyton or Victoria park gives you a number of pleasant drinking and eating options and you can avoid the westfield/stratford transport hassle.
