Both Old Trafford and the Etihad are served by the tram network. This is the quickest and most convenient way in and out of Piccadilly station.
I have walked back from Old Trafford, but alongside the canal, which is initially bleak but then quite pleasant. Takes a good half hour, though. |

Would be keen but been stuck in the middle tier last 2 times which is the worst atmosphere of any section in any ground. A few hundred shouting away but you cant hear or see tier 1 or tier 3!

They are only selling the lower tier at the moment, middle tier isn't currently an option.

Clue is the block number - it is currently block 113 which is on sale, which is first (bottom) tier. Anything in the middle tier would start with a 2, eg block 213

To be honest hadnt even checked just presumed that we would be selling the middle tier by now and had ruled it out.

Showing as sold out! Is that real or more tickets to be loaded?

If we really have only taken the lower tier, then it's probably sold out now, or very nearly so.

Ok thanks, that must be a pretty small allocation we've taken then. Cheers for the update.

Lol. There's 3 weeks to go. Rules me out of going anyway but 10 goals conceded in my last 2 trips didn't sell this one well.

Not sure but when I spoke to the box office earlier they said they took a small allocation because so close to xmas. Pretty poor really

If we have taken the lower tier only, which seems to be the case, then it's about 900.

Have we really only taken 900 tickets and sold out already on the 5th, 17 days before the game? Seriously? Fans have to pay for tickets for Brighton, West Ham, City, Wolves plus home games. Not everyone has money up front. Those on the CIS scheme for example get paid weekly/ Show the fans some respect.

Upper tier (or third tier even) haven't gone on sale to city fans so will probably become available if the lower has gone already.

I spoke to the box office this afternoon and they said definitly not asking for more tickets. Basically, they would have to take a thousand and know they wouldn't sell them all so would have to pay for them though. Pretty shite but club felt that 3 days before christmas they would struggle to get a big crowd. I feel thats back fired and undermined the fan base really. Do they think we are Burnley

Quite impressed we've sold 900 tickets for this one to be honest.
