he always seemed to have a shocker when we played West Ham, but he is virtually faultless since hes been at palace. A 7/10 player EVERY week. Deserves some attention RE: England squad.

He has been immense this season. Excellent player. Just hope he can stay fit.

Hate to say it but whenever Dann is out injured our form always seems to improve.

Quality player, nothing flash just steady, composed and consistent. Can play either side but you would say right sided centre back when Sakho is back. If we had that partnership over 38 games we would easily be a mid table side.

Considering some of the shite that plays for England and Dann never got a cap when he was in imperious form if he doesn't get at least a shot in a friendly I'll be convinced there's a conspiracy. Very good defender, decent footballer

He’s good but no better than Stones, Jones, Maguire, Tarkowski and Keane when he inevitably finds form under Allardyce again. These 5 are all far younger and have room for development, Tomkins not so much. No conspiracy this time I’m afraid.

He might get a token subs appearance in a friendly but he won't play in a competitive game, as he's not one of Gareths youngsters or plays for the top 6 & Everton.

Anyone know if James is related to Len Tomkins (who played for Palace in the late sixties)?

Once sakho's back with Luka holding in front of them, we have our strongest defensive combination, and by extension, the best defensive core since we got promoted. Even better then Dann/Delaney with Jedi holding. High praise perhaps, but pound for pound definitely stronger IMO.
Not bad for a player allegedly recommended on a whim by Brede Hangeland because pardew couldn't be bothered to properly scout a new CB! |

that is nonsense, he was our best player when we lost at the boris stadium last season...first half we should have been 1-0 up

I couldn't believe it when West Ham decided to sell him to us.
Their big loss, our huge gain.

As much as I would love Tomkins to play for England you just know he would get injured on international duty.
