If Van Dijk goes for £75m, then we should be asking for at least £90m. He's a match-winner, international and has four years left on his contract.

Levy slaps £200m tag on Kane, £130m on Alli, so we should respond with at least £75-£100m for wilf. He is worth that to us.

The endorsements alone for him would be massive at a club like Spurs. Playing in the Champions League would also gain him huge exposure. You don't honestly think Harry Kane earns less than Zaha now do you?? |

He isn't good enough for Spurs, where would he play? All the players ahead of him are better.
Hes priceless to us but someone offers 50 mil plus we will take it, only so long before he wants to further his career but a top 4 club aint the way he should do it. |

It's bizarre that a number of people claim Zaha is one of our best ever yet a number of posters agree he's not good enough to get in Spurs, Man City, Chelsea or Man United's first team.
Whereas Wrighty and Lombardo would have made it into any team regardless of who was already at the club. This is the reason I don't class Zaha in the same bracket as these two because it was't even up for debate if they could make the grade. |

Ludicrous
Zaha on fire is unplayable. He’s improved massively last 2 season and no doubt will get even better. For that to happen he probably will need to leave for someone in the top 6. |

Just say to Wilf unless the team who bids for you also plays in red and blue and are bigger than Palace your not going.

I imagine another reason why there are so few player swaps is simply because not all parties want to move where they are being asked to move to though. Someone on here suggesting Moses plus cash for instance - Moses has won a few medals since leaving us and has progressed into a very good player, if Chelsea don't want him I very much doubt he would come back here!

This rumour is probably not true. It isn't being discussed on either of the 2 Spurs forums I visit. It's probably either typical international week filler or agent talk to help his client for next season, depending on what happens.
I'm sure Spurs are interested, as many others would be if Zaha became available, because he's an exciting player with potential to become better.. but Spurs bid before and messed Palace and Zaha around with crap offers before he signed a new contract with Palace. Since then, Spurs have signed Moura for less than Zaha would have cost then (let alone now...), so unless someone in that wide/advanced midfield role leaves then there's no chance. Lamela is the one most likely of anyone to leave, and even then he might not. His contract is up next summer but he has an extension that the club can activate, not sure if that's been decided yet (not seen anything), but he has a new baby and might choose to go back to Italy where he's often linked to Roma and Inter. Or he might like London and want to stay. Who knows. He's been playing quite well since coming back from a long injury. 40m is a figure plucked out of thin air, it would certainly be more. Some comparisons here with Mahrez and City's bid/Leicester's demands, and the marker for players clubs don't want to sell is now a lot higher. Mahrez is a better player IMO, more productive anyway (and stroppier, in the cons column..), although in a team functioning better maybe Zaha would get more praise. The fee Palace would ask for if they were willing to let Zaha go would mean only 3 teams could sign him - automatically pricing Spurs out, and probably excluding Man Utd because he'd probably not go back there. So, Chelsea and Man City, and aside from the bonus of Home Grown status, both can attract more complete players from overseas that would be better fits for their systems. Perhaps the value changes if Palace are relegated which, hopefully, doesn't happen... Spurs want Ryan Sessegnon anyway. I'd imagine the fees for him and Zaha would be around the same, certainly is when you see the links in the papers, so if it's one or the other then I'd expect them to phone Fulham instead. A lot depends on whether they get promoted, and then if anyone with a bigger chequebook comes along. So there, just my thoughts from the other side...

Is Ali that good? Very overrated. Let's see how he would get on in a struggling side. It's much easier to play with 10 other class players.

If we had Alli instead of Zaha this year, we’d be worse off.
