+1. Front of the Holmesdale, where the HF are now. God knows how we got that far down thinking about it now.
Over the hoardings before the final whistle, then ran when it blew. Pretty good night! |

Just in my teens it was a wonderful experience and brilliant night for Palace and all supporters. A lovely memory to have apart from those awful patch pockets I was wearing.

Got walked down the touch line to the Whitehorse as the Holmesdale was solid, when the FT whistle went a copper actually tried to stop me getting on the pitch whilst half the ground ran on, so I waited 30 seconds then just walked past him

Was there, number 89,000 or whatever we are up to, aged 13(that very day). Another one who didn't pay, shared my Grandad's seat on the then front row of seats on the AW. He knew bloke on gate, who let me in for nothing.
I really thought we were on the way to becoming a top club, and would soon be doing a 'Nottingham Forest' challenging established clubs. It made the 80/81 season, and all of the eighties up until Coppell got things in order so hard to bear. |

Percy Daltons I believe. Bit of a bugger to break open to secure the peanuts inside!

18 at the time, new it was going to be special so got in the ground about 6 with a couple of mates. Front of the Arthur in line with Walsh when he scored. Remember the tannoy all evening saying move forward as people were stuck outside
Never see the like before or since at Selhurst. People on the new stand thread saying and 30k stadium is more than enough for us don't have long enough memories |
