He's right we are light in that area. I assume that is why the likes of origi and ings are being looked at. We'll get away with it but it will hold us back to an extent.

Zaha however he is classed is a winger not a striker - sure if we decide to move him more central it could be the year that he emerges as an utterly stunning multi skilled versatile attacking player and of course i dream of this scenario.

To be told its utter tripe though that we need a proven goalscoring striker is insane.
Classes by who.. you? Roy played him up top nearly every game in charge.

Your one of those anti Benteke bellends.. you probably hated pva last season and cabaye the before that aswel.

And it is tripe.. we have proven goalscorers. I mean look at Benteke record over his career.. not just one bad season.

Anyway go back to playing Fifa or whatever you teenagers do

Seriously why are the club so blind to our weak areas. It took 3/4 years maybe even longer to sort out the centre back hole and still they've not corrected the CF issue which we had since promotion.

Im not damning the club since this transfer market has been probably our most professional to date but even with all these new additions without a real goalscorer life in the PL will always be difficult.

Surely the club cant be expecting the goals to come mainly from Luka!

Saying that what perhaps is more scary is with our 44 goals and 1 own goal in 17/18 we were the 9th highest EPL goalscorers!
You, son, are a complete fucking idiot.

Sorloth - OMFG lols

Benteke - sure sure but he still only scored 3 goals last year and looked shit and lazy for many of the games. He is a player on the decline the the ascent so whilst i wish him all the luck in the world to turn hi career around again the betting man would go on his form and last year it was terrible

McArthur wont play - Sako is gone - Luka is pens - Zaha may not even be here come tomorrow night.

Not worried about the goals!s

I bet you £50 Benteke scores at least 10 this season

I bet you £50 McArthur will play this season

I bet you £50 Wilf will be a Palace player on Friday morning

I hope he has a great season - he is a CPFC player but this is a board to discuss things fairly and so far since he has joined us he has been pretty average - first year was kinda obscured by the fact he scored albeit a lot of random odd job goals but still he scored last year he was utterly dire.

As for assists or whatever - we couldnt win without Zaha - he really was the difference.

look im just saying Wickham Sorloth and a striker that scored 3 goals last season who is at the end of his career and certainly doesnt look or play like a 27 year old.

so in truth every one must be expecting Wilf to suddenly emerge as a striker and that is a shit load of pressure.

Ive never bet against Palace in my life so dont intend to start now but I dont think Benteke will score 10 EPL goals. McArthur will not be a fully fit starting 11 and Wilf who knows if 75m comes through and he is worth it and truly brilliant player developing at the right rate in the right way.

Not betting against Palace. Just on Palace related matters.

Roy has a wise old head on his shoulders and knows we do need a striker and can't rely on Benteke, Wickham and Sorloth , this is why he is actively seeking a STRIKER and it's my belief that we're going to get one .

high Wilf - can you write the theme tune, sing the theme tune

I am not saying I agree with the 4 forward options, but itís what we have, so given that the transfer window closes tomorrow and we do not have a lot of cash I cannot see us getting an out and out striker on our books in the next 24hrs.

The best I am hoping for is some sort of midfield/forward that can provide backup and competition for the front 4 & AT.

isn't his underlying point that we are a bit short of strikers? I think he's right.

a feeling? lols of course eveyr palace has its called optimism but also Benteke did only score 3 last year and Zaha does get injured due to how progressive his style is and how often he gets carved down.

I have only hope that Benteke will becoem the 35m striker we wanted when we paid that club record - im just worried that that is our main striker and he looked uninterested last year.
