True but at least we look better than them both and weren't hanging on for a point. We created more chances than Spurs as well. We don't look like a relegation-threatened team. Cut out the silly mistakes and we could begin looking like a mid-table team (even if we struggle to get there).

I agree to an extent but we are still making costly mistakes every week a third into the season. You wonder at what point it's not a coincidence or bad luck. I'm hoping for back to back wins in the next two to ignite our season. That would change everything.

An absolute embarrassment tonight, losing 5-1 at home to Atalanta with a strong side out.

Still cannot believe we failed to beat such an abject team. At home, too. Criminal.

Trouble is the silly mistakes seem to be ingrained at the moment. No amount of coaching and organisation can legislate for individuals' rushes of blood to the head. I think we have a right to at least expect our lot to concentrate for the entire 90. Some of the gaffes they've come up with wouldn't look out of place in an under-eights league.

This is the worry.

We drew against a worse Everton side on paper.

Watching it again we really were good on the ball but THAT error is just painful to watch. TBH I have no idea why Jules didn't pass to Sakho if he was determined to go short, he was in loads of space and unlike Dann can distribute confidently. So bizarre. Still, we completely dominated the game and defended well mostly. Lots of nice football and for the first time since we went up we are starting to learn how to break the bus though the final ball isn't there yet. This 4-4-2 with Wilf and Andros given creative freedom seems pretty good at opening up space

Schlupp. Thought he was impressive today with some imaginative passes.

RLC probably my man of the match.
apart from Cabaye he is by far our most influential player. 90% of our attacks start from him bringing the ball out of defence and passing forward to a man in space, usually YC who he can trust to control in and distribute smartly. Yes he has his nervy moments but I think we should trust him, he knows what he is doing.

Our most influential player is Wilf - by miles.

The verdict on Niasse shows why it was criminal, it's a shame we can't get some justice from it

We looked bad also though.. You make your own luck in this sport, we have relied on other teams doing badly season after season and our lucks run out. If we dont start making our own luck then we are going down pure and simple.
