All the reporting was that nothing was done due to the ethnicity of the perps, once the tabloids got hold of it there was no choice for the police and other agencies.
Someone earlier in the thread pointed out that people within those agencies that did try to do something were sent for diversity training. Its pretty clear that this was a cover up due to the ethnicity.

I give up after that, if you want to imagine something else fine.

Just to throw a few points back at you;

I don't imagine very many people read the bible

The gap on gender pay is getting closer all the time. A woman was the countries highest paid person last year.

Asking a father for his blessing is a harmless tradition not to be compared with arranged marriage or other such bollox.

As is the father of the bride giving his daughter away. Mess with wedding day traditions and watch the women hunt you down.

Over 40% of domestic violence is against men.

There isn't much, society can do about the predators, in terms of prevention - Other than Social Services and the Police actually doing their job.

The problem is compounded because no one really values these kids. They tend to be seen as trouble makers, runaways, liars and unreliable and have a history with the police and social services that effectively leads them to being 'written off' or ignored. Consequently, a result of this has led to the proliferation of grooming gangs who specifically target these victims because they know there is no one who is going to act.

Social Services tend to see these kids as 'lost causes' and the police as 'time wasters and poor witnesses' by default. The CPS won't pursue cases for similar reasons. Then when a scandal blows up, the complacent and compliant, find 'reasonable' excuses why they didn't do their job; society listens for a bit, then goes back to not being interested until the next big scandal.

Problem is, you won't prevent predators existing. Society will always have them. The only thing you can do is identify predators and remove them from society. That requires that child services do their job, and that the police do theirs - which makes it much harder for predators to operate freely.

Successful predators tend towards vulnerable targets, and that then proliferates among predators (as unsuccessful offenders come into contact with other in prison, they also tend to refine their targeting methods).
You aren't wrong but you also aren't addressing the route causes. In both the cases of the Catholic Church and the Muslim community, it is the culture within that encourages the abuse. It doesn't mean that Catholics or Muslims are all rapists but both lend themselves to an environment where attitudes combined with opportunity promote abuse. When sex has such restrictions and conventions applied to it, we have people who try to get it by foul means or outside of their normal cultural bounds.

It still shows a society where men are valued more than women.

Girls statistically perform better at school and more girls go to university, yet most industries are still dominated by men, including new hires.

Of the "over 40%" statistic you reference, that will include violence by men against other men won't it? So highlights my point that a portion of british mens attitudes towards their domestic partners are toxic.

I think that these can lend 'blindness'. Humans have a nasty tendency towards a complacency towards accepting something that disrupts their perception of reality. We see this with accusations of sex offences, where in there is a tendency to see the victim as the problem - Which I think fits the case where the individual making the accusation is seen as 'low value' in that community or organisation.

The authorities would likely have viewed these victims very differently had they come from different sources. The status of the victims, seems to have been a basis of disbelief or rejection - Because it conflicted with the primary directive of policing in relation to ethnicity. Had the victims been 'people of substance' I suspect the police would have treated them differently - Especially from a point of distance.

Low level social workers and support teams reported what was going on, but its the distance of being 'away from the front line' makes it much easier to 'look away', and instead be more focused on the issues that you have to deal with (maybe ethnic tensions etc).

We do not have a bad record on Women's rights in comparison to the rest of the World.

That article you posted from the Telegraph I personally found extremely inaccurate and offensive.
There was another article which gave a run down on the 20 best countries for woman to live regarding equality, we came 12th, and the top four were all Scandinavian countries including Denmark.

Ironic that the Woman involved in that piece of shit from the Telegraph came from a country that wouldn't even get into the top 100, how the hell could she make such a statement.
