If it's more convenient for you try going to pudding mill lane on DLR less than 10 mins from the away end.I went up there this week to try it out only possible problem after is weather the police will let you go that way or send everyone to Stratford

Think it's the same walk as the fans on coach would do so could just say your going on coach last season could walk that way no restrictions

I don't normally take a bag to games but will have one Tuesday. I recall some grounds recently have been a bit funny about taking bags into stadiums. Are West Ham ok about this?

There was a tourist looking person who i took to have been refused entry with his bag. I say bag, it was a huge bloody rucksack. I think most grounds are the same; small bags/rucksack are okay (but will be searched). Big bags (not sure this is specified in terms of litre capacity!) won't be allowed.

Don’t know the rules for West Ham, but a general guide used to be that you shouldn’t expect to get a bag in that won’t fit under your seat. So a small bag is ok, but a big rucksack isn’t.

However, we’ve heard a number of examples this season of fans being unable to bring in any bags (I think we heard that Man U had lockers?).

So is there anything stopping people parking in the Old Ford area for the game and then walking across the bridges to the stadium? It seems to cut the walk in half compared to Stratford??

From the WHUFC website:

In order to allow easy access and cause minimal delays, it is recommended that supporters arrive at least one hour prior to kick-off and avoid bringing any bags to matches unless absolutely necessary. Large suitcases or luggage are not permitted in the stadium.

All bags will be searched and supporters may also be asked to remove jackets or coats in preparation for search. All approved bags are also subject to additional inspections within the Stadium. There will be an access lane at each checkpoint for supporters with accessibility needs.

Anyone know what time (roughly) we're likely to get on the central line at Stratford?
