We finished below them last season but the only thing that bothered me was losing to them. We didn't lose to them this season so I'm happy. Beating them at their place was all that mattered. We now need to beat them at Selhurst. If we lose against them I could give a stuff whether we finish above them or not.

Simply because it would be just a temporary blip. Not saying it doesn't bother me - it does bother me quite a lot actually here and now, But, when we look back in a year or two and we are pushing for promotion and Millwall are still down there (or even gone) it really won't seem that important.

Blackpool will stuff Millwall as they get in some target practice for the Play Offs at the Den. All we have to do is draw. However if we beat Cardiff, stop them from getting into the play offs and still end up above Millwall then we will have had a perfect last day to the season and memories of our poor run will fade into insignificance. It will pee off Millwall fans infinately more to get so near but fail

or Blackpool will put out a reserve team and smallwall will coast it

and cardiff will play defensively (only needing a draw )and of couse so will we and it wil be 0-0 with no shots on target for either team

Cardiff can't afford to play for a draw and Blackpool will not want to finish 6th. The team that finishes 6th will play West Ham. Over two legs they have to be the team to avoid.
Thats my theory anyway,but the bookies have Millwall as slight favs. So they don't agree. They of course have Cardiff as clear favs as well.

The bookies practically stopped taking bets on Reading to beat us by a mile yesterday. Didn't happen.

Blackpool will want to avoid West Ham if at all possible. The Hammers stuffed the Seasiders twice and seem to have the beating of them. Blackpool will want Boro or Cardiff to play the Hammers as any of them could well beat West Ham for them if they can get past Brum..which they probably won't sadly.

You make a very good point Chobham Eagle, I was just annoyed that when starting the thread remembering being 12 points ahead of them only a few weeks ago . Considering I have been letting my Millwall supporting friends know all season (as they did to me last season) that we have been much higher then them in the league as well as beating them at the Den, they are really giving it back

Anyway, it won't matter when we avoid defeat to Cardiff and Blackpool thrash them on the last day

I really don't care. Of course I'd like us to finish as high as possible, but truth is I don't even look at where Millwall are in the league. They are irrelevant, in every sense of the word
