SB's point is they are happy to reduce prices but only if everyone does, allowing us to remain competitive.

£70m+ isn't enough when everybody else is also receiving that money. Gate receipts, although a falling % of overall revenue, need to be in-line with our rivals so we don't fall behind.

I agree that ticket prices are too high and would love them to be cheaper. I just don't see our club or any club acting alone on this though. I don't see the club as greedy on this issue, as others say elsewhere on this thread.

In Palace's case it isn't just about being competitive on the pitch but updating the infrastructure. This needs to be tackled urgently whilst we have the lure of the Premier League bring 25k/26k crowds at these prices.

Again, I don't get why. Other clubs don't have a problem with linking the system up, why is it just us? Surely it limits those who don't live nearby, don't want to pay 10p+ per minute etc.

Like I had to call up to buy in block j main as the only options were restricted views in the Arthur. How is that fair?

Holmesdale: SOLD OUT
Main: 60 (all restricted, blocks B/D/F/G)
Whitehorse: 2 (block 4)
Arthur Wait: 106 (all restricted, blocks Z/Y/X)

So 26 hours and 168 seats left total if that's anything to go by. So it's sold very well considering the price.
You seem obsessed by the online ticket sales updates 😉

we haven't truly sold out one game yet this season... Tomorrow will be no different I'm sure

Using his example of QPR he seems to be suggesting £5 is significantly lower. £5?!

It's called writing a dissertation.

A mate asked if there were any left. Thought it might be helpful to put it on here.

I really should get back to writing about 100 nanometre carbon particles...

The funny thing is that when the prices will be £5 higher, we'll all be told 'it's only £5 higher'.

When a football club is paying bit-part players £30k per week, there is no point trying to convince the common man like me that my season ticket is going to make any f*cking difference.

Well I hope you make it. By my maths you should have 10 mins spare but it will certainly be a close one!

Any chance of an update at 12:30 so we know you made it out of work on time? At least then we will know if you have a chance of making it. Maybe several hundred of us willing you along will improve your chances.

Good luck! Pop back on here when you are in your seat. That will be great!

QPR will still be 'little old QPR' no matter how extortionate their prices are, the amount you charge should have no reflection on the status of the club and if anything it should be respected and used as an example to others.
Sad state of affairs when a fanzine is more interested in getting the chairman to appear on their next podcast than having any concern for the common fan.

The members discount certainly would be a welcome move.
Again I agree with you there Dorking and yet again the only sufferers are normal fans with this tit-for-tat pricing.

The weird thing with QPR is that Fernandes & co have been (over) spending fortunes on their club in recent years but only on players, and it seems at no stage have they stopped to think of looking after their loyal fans. The only real answer to overcharging is for fans to protest in numbers by either boycotting games or going to the PL headquarters (as the FSF are doing), but sadly not enough will do this.

I guess it's alright for some as long as they can go to and pretend to be mates with the chairman for an hour.

With the impending takeover, it is vital that we as a fanbase are ready to stand up for ourselves (especially our poorer fans). What is to be gained from sucking up to the owners and pretending £40+ is a fair price for our fans to pay to see us play a mediocre side?
