Might be the cheapest!

He'll score against Liverpool just to wind klipp klopp up. So will Sakho.

Would be surprised if he has a season this poor next season, or ever in the next 4/5 years. We can try and support him though the difficult times or bin him off. Personally i hope we support him through the difficult times.
Although I agree with you it's a difficult thing to get your head around. It's not like he's some homeless drug addict that desperately needs emotional support, he's a man earning £120k/week for playing a game we all love and we are all personally paying for him for that privilege.

If he has got a psychological issue like some sort of footballing yips then he can afford to see a psychiatrist or similar but he needs to show us fans he cares.

He's got a big opportunity to do so in two weeks at Selhurst Park. His celebration with Sakho on the touchline after his goal at Anfield last season was a joy.

Murray 64%
Kane 60%
Lukaku 58%
Crouch 50%
Gayle 45%
Austin 50%
Jesus 42%
Mane 42%
Zaha 40%
Dann 33%
Loftus-Cheek 25%
Benteke 10%

The results can be a little misleading in certain circumstances, although not with the selected players e.g. If a sub comes on for one game and scores a goal with the only chance and it may be more accurate to take penalties out of the equation (goals scored not misses) but it is still an indication how poor Benteke has been this season
You'd have thought Jesus could manage a better conversion rate than 42%

EDIT: Whoa, sorry Raggy and there was me thinking I was unique in the world of storytelling!!

See post #615

Anyway, as we all know, it all depends on the crosses - night, night.

Problem is I think he has lost all pace since his Achilles injury and while I would support him whilst he is here, I cannot see him having as good a season as last season (15 goals) in the next 4/5 years.

Unless there is some way he can recover his pace, best to move him on this summer I feel.

Nobody is abusing him.

He gets plenty of support and his name is cheered every time itís read out at the start of home games.

Support and respect is also a two way thing. Iím sure he gets frustrated that he isnít scoring but ******* off down the tunnel the second the whistle blows at the end of match isnít helping his cause or giving him some leeway.

Ward, McArthur, Puncheon, Speroni, Luka, Sako... they all take the time to appreciate the backing from the stands and that goes a long way with how fans view the players and their commitment to the club, Poor performances are quickly forgotten with an acknowledgement to the supporters.

And hopefully they both do some dreadful, over elaborate, over choreographed, high five handshake business in front of the away end to celebrate.
