Having sent an email out which presumably caused thousands of passengers to download and check the 'new' timetable, Southern then send another one telling us it was a waste of time because it hasn't changed at all.

No compensation for Southern passengers, and some Thameslink passengers will only get 1 week's worth of compensation. Comes out of the taxpayers' pockets anyway so essentially you're paying for your own compensation.

the TSSA union is warning of 200+ cancelled trains on Sunday which is Day 1 of the revised timetable.

Amazing how Grayling is still in a job. His incompetence is staggering.

Last week my train was late due to "unexpected, but completely predictable, issues arising from increased volumes of service in the East Croydon area and gross incompetence from management".

At least the drivers/conductors are keeping spirits up

How would they know.

Iíve had to get a Southern train most days because the Thameslink is so unreliable!

Any of our insiders know why Southern is half-closed today?

Quote:
A reduced service will be in operation on the Southern network on Sunday 15 July.

The following routes will be amended:

• London Bridge - Uckfield. No direct services will run through to Uckfield. Replacement buses will be in place between Oxted and Uckfield, and Uckfield and Haywards Heath
• London Bridge - Caterham / Tattenham Corner. Hourly shutters will run between Purley and Caterham and Purley and Tattenham Corner
• London Victoria to Arun Valley / Portsmouth Harbour services will call additionally ay Purley in both directions.
• London Victoria to Reigate via Redhill services will call additionally at Purley Oaks in both directions
• London Victoria to East Grinstead services will call additionally at South Croydon in both directions
• Thameslink services between Bedford to Brighton will call additionally at Norwood Junction in both directions

Please ensure you check journey planners prior to travelling.

We are sorry for any inconvenience caused to your journey.
This seems separate to the engineering works also mentioned.

(I presume they mean shuttles not 'shutters'?)

Its a huge tory con. The greater train robbery. Yet still railstaff get it in the neck from planks. Unbelievable really.

I've been asking them on Twitter and being met with deliberate obfuscation. I'm assuming it's because they don't have enough drivers?

One hour gaps in trains to London Bridge from Riddlesdown / Sanderstead. Thameslink are actually more shit than Southern (know they are both Govia).

Just awaiting the day one of these temporary timetables becomes permanent.

I've all but given up on those now. Started using the Caterham line which is usually more reliable. Coming out of London Bridge it's easier to go to platform 10-15 too.
