Biggin said he'd rather stay in.
I thought he meant the EU, but now I see he meant he'd rather stay in than go with you to the kebab shop.

If we adopt the Norwegian deal then everything will be alright and there is nothing to worry about.

That is because we no longer have 65 million people to feed but 7 million.

The only way Biggin get his version of Brexit is via a snap general election where a new Tory leader wins a large majority - even then it will take years - May has played a stormer. Run down the clock and the EU will offer a similar deal to one that Cameron asked for in the first place and we will take it.

Because they don’t have popular support and they know it. They are protests politicians (like Corbyn) and are stealing a living making false promises to desperate or depressed voters.

This is exactly what we knew their position would be. As it would have been ours if anyone else was leaving.

Why? What do you want them to do?

27 countries representing over 450 million people instructed their representative to say

1: they support their member state by confirming there will be no agreement without an agreement on the border - no agreement means a border full stop

2: the chequers proposal is nuts. Not least because it undermines their single market.

So how do you (or anyone) propose to solve 1 and 2? In other words why should 27 allies and Eu members and 450 million people bow to the bananas demands of 17 million old folk in the uk?

1: decide to throw a member state to the wolves

2: give up all their legal systems to suit you and 17.4 million people?

Parliament has a vote on the final deal and without another GE the numbers don’t stack up for a Biggin Brexit - nothing mad about that analysis.

We will be staying close to the EU - it is just a matter of how close.

Quite how anyone on either side of this debate can feel anything but contempt for the way Tusk et al behaved today is beyond me. Absolute shysters, gangsters in suits.

May was absolutely furious in her press conference and I don’t blame her.

Suck it up!
I would put David Cameron and his Government right at the top of any blame for this. To hold a vote under the parameters it was held was probably the most irresponsible and foolish decisions a PM has ever undertaken. The fact the EU vote was taken in an attempt to strengthen his own party politically, with no thought of how it might affect the people of his country is beyond disgraceful.

The generalisation and derogatory attitude from both sides of voters about each other is really not helpful. After all voters are voters. How informed is everyone before placing their cross anyway for any election. What percentage of voter reads each manifesto before a GE? And even if they did you are relying on that party to stick to their pledges - ha! The sad fact is that most will vote with very little knowledge of what they’re actually voting for and will generally vote for tribal reasons or because they like the look of one leader over another. That is why it is so important to have leaders and those in authority with a certain level of decency, integrity and respect for the people they govern. We should look to them to set the standards.

Quite clearly from the Iraq debacle, through to the blatant injustices of the banking crash...and now this; our ire should be placed firmly at the doorstep of those in charge not each other.

Seriously, why would anyone in their right mind vote for any of these clowns ever again?
