When they played Arsenal in the cup last season they rolled out the carpet for a sell out crowd. Of course there were still only 12507 'weed there. 11000 to see their club Arsenal, and the rest to imagine that they were at a Premier League game.

At both games this season it honestly felt like the rivalry is over. We should move on, the old issues don't mean anything to the new generations and from Brighton's side, there's just nothing there, no soul, no backbone, no culture...plastic.
Both games have felt like pre season friendlies. Waste of time.

12000 is about right really, 6000 Withdean faithful and some returnees because of the promotion.
The missing 14000 or so just tag along for the PL ride. |

It's over, let's scrap this thing. They're not football people down there anymore.

6th straight year having bigger average attendance than you. Even in the Championship you lot couldn't live with our gates. We will average 30k this year. Lets not talk about attendances eh? Only one clear winner here. Shouldn't you lot be more concerned about what team Woy can put out next after a couple more of your players got crocked the other night. Excellent stuff

You want to see plastic fans? No spin, no lies, no massaging figures. It's all there in black in white. Attendances jump from a regular 15,000 to 24,000 in one season. Where were they before? http://www.european-football-statist...nclub/cryp.htm |

For the first time in years you can actually brag about events ON THE PITCH, yet you are still prattling on about attendances. Old habits die hard I suppose.

Being there last night was a reality check for the rivalry. I’m 24 so I’ve been brought up knowing to hate them more than the older generation. But honestly I walked out the stadium thinking this “rivalry” is dying. How they can have an attendance like that is embarrassing. I was even hoping at 1-0 up they’d turn the volume up to get us fired up more but they didn’t. All you could ever hear was a very quiet of “Albionnnnnnnn”. I think the rivalry was fun while it lasted. The Murray signing and how that turned out was funny and we’ll always have the last laugh. The play-offs was the best and I imagine come May we’ll even have the last laugh about finishing above them. They are only 1 point ahead of us after a 7 game head start hahaha
It was fun while it lasted but I’ve been saying on this site for 3:4 years that I’d love a south London derby in the Premier League. No one outside of the 2 clubs understand why the rivalry is about. Probably because they haven’t done research but I think it’s probably best if they try and start some rivalry with Bournemouth/Southampton/Portsmouth? When we lose me and my old man can’t even have a conversation on the walk home from Selhurst yet last night we had a laugh on the train home which is strange! (anti social family trust me) |

In answer to the original thread question. Yes, yes, sadly we do.
We can only hope AFC Wimbledon sort themselves out and get promoted a couple of times, no doubt stepping over the twitching wonky carcass of BHAHA along the way.
