Or even better over a whole season.Man City lost 4-0 at Leicester the other season, they still finished 3rd.As Palace fans we should know better than most that it's a 38 game season. We lost the first 7 miserably last year and we're still here.

It was always going to be a problem after Wenger left. Was there so long, his style and philosophy is almost imprinted in the club’s DNA. Whoever came in was obviously going to try and change things to his way of doing things and that transition - discarding a well embedded structure - just can’t happen smoothly or successfully overnight.

The fact the board saw fit to bring in a foreign manager with no Premier League experience just compounds the problems IMO. Even someone as brilliant as Pep struggled in his debut season in England with a much more talented squad than Emery has at his disposal.

There’s the potential here for Arsenal to have their worst season in a very, very long time. Watching them trying to play out from the back with a keeper and defenders that clearly aren’t fit for the job was painful...I say painful...I mean bloody hilarious.

There is a wiff of the FDB debacle about this and it wouldn’t surprise me if Arsenal are looking for another manager before Christmas. Depending on how seriously they have fallen, it’s not beyond the realms of possibility, and this would bring Arsenal fan tv into a nuclear war style meltdown - but if they were in serious trouble, is it beyond the realms of possibility to see a certain Sam Allardyce be drafted in short term?

Anyway, popcorn out...should be an interesting watch.

Ah contrary to what was quoted on the net, you can’t keep a bad man down.
I really hope when we play them that we don’t give them any ounce of respect for their “reputation”.

Arsenal just have the air of a mid-table club to me at the moment. Wouldn't be at all surprised to see them drop out of the top 6 and into mid-table obscurity. Very few players in their squad who stand out as being brilliant match-winners.

Nah, they’re still miles ahead of the non top 6. Would take several more years of neglect in the transfer market at least.
