That's a bit modern for me, but I'm pretty sure I've enjoyed some of Jr's stuff.

To view the link you have to Register or Login is quite a cheesy country-fest with Johnny Cash narrating and a whole host of CMTV stars hamming it up.

I listen to some country music now and again, as well as the aforementioned, I like a bit of Kris Kristofferson and Loretta Lynn.

I like a lot of bands that are country-ish:

Wilco
Cowboy Junkies
Lambchop
Lucinda Williams
Emmylou Harris

I suupose the fact that they have all moved away from being 100% country, suggests that neither they nor I really like the stuff.

The only really yee-hawish stuff I've liked is Alison Krauss and Nanci Griffith.

Blue Moon (Revisited) is one of my favourite songs. They are playing "The Trinity Sessions" live in London soon (or may have already done so).

Gram Parsons is always described as Country-Rock but GP & Return of the Greivous Angel sound pretty damn country to me and are ace.

Oh yeah, good call, I forgot about Gram Parsons. Those albums are indeedfab, and distinctly country. I also like that he died so young and glamorous, and that his mates saw fit to cart his body off into the desert and burn it by the Joshua Tree. So much better than the Pinetrees Memorial Cemetery, or whatever.

Johnny Cash is good too, especially the last 4 albums he did with Rick Rubin.
