The embarrassing silence from Wright when Lineker suggested he might offer to go to the Palace training ground and help out with some striker training

There are three books on Ian Wright which I have

The first was an 'unauthorised' book by Rick Glanvil called The Wright Stuff. This IMO is the best one as he spoke to his childhood friends, teachers etc and really gets into his background etc. Shame about the Arsenal cover, but that's where the sales are

Shortly after this, Ian brought out his own book, "Mr Wright". It's not too bad but focuses on his successes with Arsenal

The fairly recent book is Ian Wright A Life in Football. Fortunately I picked my copy up massively reduced in price from the club shop. Barely get a quarter through it,it is gash. He keeps going on about losing his buddy David Rocastle, in an almost OTT way.

The GOTM votes are so pointless. Much like the ones on Sky Sports, if a Liverpool player is nominated he wins by a landslide due to the amount of unemployed scousers (and multiple foreign fans) who immediately log on and vote while smashing one off.

I think Sturridge's goal got 61% of the vote last night, with Hazard and Rashford 2nd and 3rd respectively. Unless a player from a 'bottom 14' club scores from the halfway line they never even make it into the top three.

The MOTD2 closing montage of best PL comebacks didn't include Palace against Liverpool. I mean it was only 3-0 with ten minutes to go. Wankers.

Alan Green, as usual, being an absolute prick: "Zaha looked as though he was about to foul, but he got away with it".

Well that was tedious. Gullit and Murphy wittering on about Chelsea for 10 minutes with us getting a 20 second mention at the end.

You seem almost surprised, apart from the fact that big clubs always get the lion's share of coverage, I'm not sure that it would take much more than 20 seconds to talk about us. One goal and nothing much else.

But they didn't even notice what Jamie Redkapp brought to the Sky discussion, Alonso pulling Sakho away from Chelsea's crosses so their players had more room to get free headers in!!

You should try TalkSh!te. They told everyone the score had been 3-0 and gave completely the wrong impression.

Indeed it was. Discussion on benefits of 'little players' and classy Chelsea. Talk about unbalanced discussion. Gullit was banging on about Morata and Pedro, nothing about Townsend's great strike.

He's on his Liverpool agenda - don't suppose he mentioned Van Dyke doing the exact same thing?
