I'd say that's worth us all being significantly poorer and reducing the UK's influence and standing in the world. |

Yes, and there aren't any historical precedents for that are there? Let me think...oh yes Germany now there's a thing...total and absolute destruction millions dead...the leadership executed...my we didn't learn anything from that did we? Let me think....oh yeah the European Union that's right...and then the single market a free trade zone...but wait aren't the Tories the party of free market capitalism? Let me think....

If the prices increase the holidays won't sell and then the Travel companies have to make big price cuts . Just booked a holiday in Germany and paid in advance at 114 euro to the pound . Still worked out at only £152 each including flights and a 4 star hotel for 3 nights . Last edited by racehorse-80s; 11-10-2016 at 11:12 AM. |

There seem to be interesting developments in parliament and a bit of an internal coup forming in the conservative party. For MPs to state that they may well stand against number 10 in a legal battle in the courts is interesting at the very least. The conservative majority is currently 16 I believe although there may be other party MPS that support the concept of parliament not having a say on the Brexit negotiations. If she loses a large gaggle of single market/parliamentary sovereignty enthusiasts (ha ha)will we be in a position of a hung parliament? Unless the conservatives whips can control this we are in for a bumpy political road.
What will develop this further will be if conservative single market/parliamentary sovereignty enthusiasts with the support of their constituency rebel; the whole 'people have spoken argument' starts to fall apart. It is their job to represent their constituents. How many will it take - 20? 30? Undoubtedly with parliament being largely made up of remainers you can only imagine that it is now largely made up of single market/parliamentary sovereignty enthusiasts.
