I posted before but I am amazed how we stick like glue to a bunch of names and I really can't see how the best option 2 years ago is the best option 5 windows later. Seems odd. Half expecting Nugent to be signed in the final mins of this window or Cahill?

To be fair this would be an excellent signing imo

I have only seen him a couple of times and he looked busy and good in the tackle but a bit sloppy/wasteful on the ball which was a surprise unless I just saw the bad games. He is only 24 I think and so no doubt room for maturing etc. still but hasn't played a lot this season though has he? Not sure why?

I would agree that he might be one of the better targets to hold onto but I still can't see how the same players surface every time unless it really is media smoke without any fire.

We do need some new recruits and I would think a loan might be possible for this guy if he is no playing which might suit everyone?

EDIT - just had a glance at last years stats and they probably reflect that with good ball winning numbers but 80% pass accuracy which is low if he was playing as DM or CM.

Good player and we definitely need another central midfielder.

Yeah but that is still his weakness now still and for a DM that can be costly.

I can't quite understand it with Luka because at times he makes awesome looking long passes and then 2 mins later can't make a 5 yarder and lets them break just when out lot have rushed forward. His last few games were good though and he sprayed some beauties.

Anyway - Sturaro may be awesome, I don't know. I know a couple of years back I know they were all excited about him but didn't get the impression he had quite made it still. Bound to be some regular Serie A watchers that know exactly how good he is. Reads like a younger Cabaye but without the accuracy (yet?).

Luka was 72% last season. 80% this season. A lot of players drop when coming to the PL due to the pressing and pace of the league.
