Difference between struggling when under achieving & then appointing probably best managerial candidate for a team in that position & nailed on to go down though don't you think

I reckon it will be either but not both,(plan A/B). We will get a specialist left back (Rousillion?)

We've apparently had a £10 million bid rejected for him. Silly season for sure.

And how much did we give to West Ham in the summer?

Hmm..sure we could get a better player from one of the big leagues (Germany, Italy, Spain or France) for such an amount. Should open our eyes wider.

Norwich apparently paid over £10m for Alex Pritchard from Spurs so they obviously arent going to sell Brady on the cheap.

£10m
... haha! Don't get me wrong I like him as a player and think would be a good addition... but for over £8m they can go swivel. Especially since he doesn't actually want to be there |

Football is definitely killing itself if such figures are true.

I know.. but as someone said Alex Pritchard cost £10m.. lookman £11m... the market is so inflated.. £8m for an international player with prem experience who's only 24 is probably about right imo as the other two were well over priced

For £8m they can go "Puncheon" you mean?

Crazy money that is sadly now the norm.
Not far off the first £100M player but I wonder how long for the first £10M player from the non leagues will be?

Indeed, but your examples show how prices have been driven up, particularly by teams like ourselves who are desparate to avoid the big drop. As an establishe International with Proven Premier league experience, Norwich will want at least £12m which was the price originally quoted, Steve appears to be negotiating again which in our current position is indecisive. |

A 24 year old, International with Prem experience. What do people think £10mil gets them these days? Not much! People are talking like it's 2004.

For the record I don't think we should be paying Benteke Cabaye , Townsend , etc anywhere near their reported salaries |

Sadly it's supply and demand, if we don't pay up they go elsewhere. Agents have been a big influence, greedy buggers.
