Is the correct answer. We always seem to over rate those elsewhere. He'd be an equivalent to Sako who would equally have cost £8m+ and be a squad player. |

He will give us options on the left and IS better than Fryers, Kelly or Ward as a laft back or left wing back.
He's not as good as Gibbs or Taylor or Van Arnholt for that matter BUT in addition to one of them would really be a very positive signing. He was Hulls stand out player the season they got relegated and Brucie (turncoat) was openly gutted at having to sell him to Norwich. PLUS he is grest at delivering crosses and dead balls - Big Sam will know how to bring out the best in him. |

Oh behave yourself. Much better player.

Johnny Gavin, very gifted goalscoring winger signed from Norwich in 1959. Still highly thought of at Carrow Road, an omen perhaps?

Robbie can play left wing and centre mid which may well be his best position. Can also do a job as a left wing back maybe if Sam plays 3 cenre backs. Exactly the kind of player required with the squad a bit bare

He's versatile, which is what we need. For the right place, he'd be a good option for us.

He is versatile but thats a luxury when we havent even got a left back.
Long term I just dont see where he would play and imo if a player doesnt improve you he will probably end up as dead wood. |

It's not a luxury at all it's a necessity.. we have no cover down the left.. he would provide cover for left back and left wing.. at the right price he is a good addition and a good squad player

I agree, anyone that improves on the quality we currently have in the squad can't be considered a luxury, more like a necessity.

but in todays market Norwich will probably want 12-15million. |

With players that need to be moved on like Sako or Ledley, then Brady would be a good addition to the squad and an excellent player to have coming off the bench and i would be in favour of signing him. As for being a replacement winger No, as a replacement Left Back No, he would not be the upgrade in either position that we need to take us to the next level. Without doubt we need a quality LB proven at this level, and should Zaha leave then an upgrade of Brady would be needed as a Winger.

Would welcome this signing but he's most definitely not a left-back.
He was brilliant going forward for Ireland in the Euros.

Ok, badly worded. You know that I meant we need First team starters, not more bench fodder. We can't keep filling the squad with mediocre footballers. The disappointing return from our academy is also beginning to bite.

So why would we not want a left sided player who can deliver quality free kicks? Would be great to have what he can offer in the team

Happy ones Max, particularly for me as I used to walk back to Norwood Junction with Johhny, Alan Woan and my dad after the game
