Now that is rose tinted specs. The atmosphere was terrible. It stank of piss and you were always miles from the play.

It did get a makeover. And the new stadium is the result. It's a bit antiseptic but that's mainly a result of its location. The stadium itself is excellent.

Thoroughly deserved for the Millers - delighted for them and my relatives who support them.

I was 8, so it may well be rose tinted specs. I also remember the toilets looking more like a building site and thinking that it was worse than those in the Holmesdale. I think the new stadium is crap though, similar to the Olympic Stadium - not a proper football stadium. For example, the huge space around the seats is great if youíre a big guy or a family on a day out to see Take That... but for a football crowd? Itís very family friendly and I get why itís like that, but it totally takes away from the atmosphere and feeling at the place.

I'd take Dean Henderson the Shrewsbury (on loan from Man Utd) goalkeeper as a keeper to develop and push for the first team.

United already have Sam Johnstone who they rate pretty highly. Henderson could go to a Championship team next season with a view to pushing Guaita in 2019/20 for the Number One spot.

Highest saves rating in League 1 apparently.

At 26k, it was the lowest attendance for a League One play-off final. Compare that with the fact that Cov are taking 36k of their own fans today.

But let correct one mis-assumption. One of my best mates is a Shrewsbury fan & I was in their end yesterday. The atmosphere in their end was not poor. In fact, it was much better than in a lot of Premier League home areas this season (Selhurst being an exception, of course).

SALOP!

He was shocking. Everytime he lost the ball he just stood there moaning at his team mates whilst Rotherham were running off down the other end with the ball.

He's looked excellent whenever I have seen him. Manchester United won't ever use him so we should be straight in there for him.

It was a good save from the pen albeit an almighty stride forward before he dived. Looks a decent keeper though.

I read last week of Shrewsbury fans complaints that Wembley refused to release the cheaper £20 / £30 tickets to them as they hadn't sold all their £50 seats.
As they have been recently a few times all the one of day trippers weren't interested in spending £50 so stayed away.
Probably meant much better atmosphere in their end as only the hardcore would been present.

Plus their Wembley record before yesterday was Played 4, Lost 4. They still have the 0% winning record....

If you hold it at somewhere like Villa Park or even the Emirates and the ground is full, I think it makes for a better spectacle.

Saying that, I think the new Wembley is shit anyway. Does anyone who went a couple of years ago for the FA Cup or play-off final, rate it higher than the Millennium Stadium? I donít - Cardiff in 2004 was superb.
Was at the game in the Rotherham end so can confirm the atmosphere wasn't crap.
