He's Carried us from mid-table championship obscurity to a premier league regular. But there's more to come. He can take us to Europe inside a couple of years before we lose him. You have been warned.

Without a doubt re Sansom was genuinely world class. That said Wilf carries this team big time and much more so than Wright did who imo played in the greatest Palace team ever!.

To be fair i don't think Mahrez would find it easy playing in this Palace side with 2/3 men on him every time he has the ball. With the opposition knowing he is the only threat because without him there is no attacking threat whatsoever.

Whilst I agree with this Wilf doesn't appear to have it in him to bang one in from 30 yards, let alone on a regular basis. Obviously it certainly helps that Leicester have other threats that means Mahrez gets more space more regularly.

Mahrez on his day is a quality player, but is a lot more selfish and has a better eye for goal. He was shite for large parts of last season however where as wilf has been consistently brilliant for us.

Mahrez is more talented than Wilf, look at it objectively and it’s simply true. The way he can glide past players is Messi esque, as is the way he can curl a ball from the edge of the box. However, Wilf is faster, stronger and more hard working, possibly more consistent although I don’t watch Leicester enough to make a judgement of that. More entertaining too, not that Mahrez isn’t easy on the eye.

We've never relied on one player so much. That just says how good he is given our points tally with him in the side. FDB had one game with Zaha and no Sakho either. It was really unfair for Parish to sack him when he did, given it was his gamble in the first place.

There was nothing wrong about he decision to sack FDB. The bad decision was giving him the job in the first place.

Yep, if anything we did it too late. As ludicrous as it sounds, if he had sacked him after 1 game it would have been better as we probably could have salvaged some vital deals in the transfer window if we hadn't spent so long dithering between the club's targets and those of a manager who was about to leave.

We gave him just FOUR premier league games. If Benteke was any good he would have put that chance away up at Anfield, then maybe we would have won 1-0 as it came late in the game and they weren't exactly all over us for long periods.

Dann with a woeful miss from close range under Hodgson on Saturday just like up at Burnley. We dominated that game and for many it was us turning a corner under FDB.

Two bad results (swansea and huddersfield) don't decide our season. If anything hindsight tells us we gave Dyche's 1 nil specialists a decent game without Zaha in the starting 11.

Next managers for the chop going by the example we've set and many have followed:
Benitez since Palace game: LLLLDLLL
Hughton : DLDLLL

two inexperienced young players in a back 3 and the resulting performance said so much and if FDB had been sacked after just one game the reasoning behind it would have made a lot of sense.

You can't hire someone who you know plays 3 at the back and when he does and loses the first game just sack him.

you can when it indicates he really does not appreciate the premier league by picking two of the back 3 as inexperienced players and not natural CBs. It rightly sounded alarm bells
