No chance imho.

He's been here since January 2015 hasn't he? If he was going to turn it around it would've happened by now.

He needs to go asap. It was a ridiculous signing at the time. One of the worst signings in our history, especially considering the fee.

Agree he needs to go.

But to be fair, the signing was worth the punt at the time. The money looks small and was but not tiny to us. But he'd had a few v good years but was poor at the mess club of QPR. If we'd resurrected what looked like potential based on 2-3 years (2 in particular) we'd have sold him for double or more given his age and English premium possibility.

But there's no doubting enough is enough.

Woeful player. A perfect example of a Pardew signing.

My take on it as well. I was very pleased when we signed him. He's been poor for us, but I don't get the hatred. Not every signing works out, and he's not been that much less effective than the likes of Lee, Sako etc who don't get anywhere near as much grief.

Yep, I actually think Pardew's transfer record with us was decent. That January it wasn't good but in the two summer windows he made some very good signings. His massive downfall was not replacing Jedi last summer or getting some cover at left back. What we did that summer was very good but what we didn't do was a significant problem.

All considerably improved once we got shot of Alan 'and that's not like us' Pardew.

Is it really the manager's fault when players choose not to give 100%. Perhaps not giving your all for the supporters is far worse than anything Pardew did.

Yes. The manager's job is to get 100% out of the players, and to employ tactics to facilitate this. In turn, the team will pick up points.

Pardew failed massively in his final year with us.

Yes, it's the managers job to get the best out of the players. Motivate them and have a plan which they buy into. That's why we've often seen a manager fail to get the best out of players. He's replaced and low and behold things improve.

It's the same with managing any business or organisation in the real world also.

Amazing how these players performed so much better under SA isn't it?

It's called good management.
