BT is good but expensive. I get the impression O2 is pretty good.

Yep, can agree that BT is good. Best value though? Dunno.

BT very reliable, but they know it and keep upping their prices for packages regularly above inflation, because they can.

Owned by the Spanish company Telephonika.

Will they have licensing problems after Brexit? Don't risk it.

What are you looking for/wanting to use it for?

What's important to you - fast speed/no outages etc.?

Are you online gaming etc.?

You are referring to O2. Are you suggesting their broadband won't work post-Brexit?

It's kind of like asking who was the best singer in the Spice Girls.

We're on BT and it has been very problematic on and off, although we have used that as leverage to get a very cheap deal.

TalkTalk.

They still operate from an Indian call centre but now they're all called Steve.

Even the females.

The internet speed for my Xbox was one of the main reasons for changing. I haven't been able to play a game of Call of Duty or Fifa for about 3 weeks now. I am greeted by the mother of all lags whenever I start a game-unplayable.

I am starting to get the same impression. Leaning towards BT or Sky but mixed reviews everywhere.

We was offered cheap deals when we decided to leave in a last ditch attempt to keep us with Virgin but they have failed on promise after promise. Not this time.

You'll probably get more feedback here if you are patient. Or search for other similar threads - I'm sure there will be some.

You don't have much choice. You are either connected on old copper lines on the BT Wholesale network or Virgin have ploughed through the town with cabling. Or, if you are lucky, there is a startup somewhere that is running cable or wireless connections for you.

If you go away from Virgin you will be on the BT Wholesale wired network and are at the control of whether the cabinet is upgraded to fibre or not, how far away you are from the cabinet and what quality the cable is from your house to the cabinet. This sets you capable speed in stone, but your service varies and if you at least want a decent service with UK call centre support I would go for PlusNet (now actually owned by BT). With BT you will pay more but you'll prolly get BT Sport chucked in though.

Both BT and Virgin are scumbags to deal with. I invested as part of a startup company to be a wireless provider for home and business in Gloucestershire and we've had both BT and Virgin trying to kill us off since we started. Long story of them just being all round wankers in an effort to cream off Government money and kill off competition themselves, with zero consideration for customers.

We provide 100Mb downspeed AND 100Mb upload speed for 50 pm using military grade wifi transmitters and receivers. We are still tiny though supplying a tiny area of rural Glos but hopefully this will be a breakthrough year as we are expanding into commercial supply, fingers crossed.

That honestly doesn't surprise me with just about how greedy Virgin have been in my experience. Good luck to you and the company you invested in.
