Setanta Sports News - Get in touch!

Setanta Sports News is set to launch later this month and we want you to contribute to the freshest channel on the market.

Our new rolling 24-hour news service is encouraging everybody to get in touch and contribute to the agenda by sharing their views with us.

A selection of the best emails will be read out on air by our new presenters and we will also be offering prizes for the best email of the day, including Setanta T-shirts, towels and all manners of merchandise.

If you have a contribution worth making, then let us know. Our email address is views@setanta.com and we want you to make contact before the channel launches on November 29. So why not drop us a line now and, if we like your enthusiasm, we may well get back in touch with you.

Setanta Sports News is free to air on the Virgin Media platform, and also on satellite, and it will cover, in detail, all relevant sports stories from the UK and abroad, regardless of whether the event is broadcasting on a Setanta channel.

The channel number on Virgin Media is 518 and the satellite number has still to be confirmed.

"We want Setanta Sports News to be fun and engaging for the nation's sports fans," explained Geoff Hill, the editor-in-chief.

"Viewers will get the sports news that matters delivered in a thorough, concise and accurate way, but this channel will be much more than a rolling sports news service - we want the added value of passionate input from fans.

"We aim to be alongside them at every major sporting event across the UK."

Kelly Dalglish is confirmed as presenter of our new weekly chat show as the channel is jointly owned by Setanta Sports and Virgin Media and produced by ITN.

Started Thursday I think. Stumbled across it whilst flickihng channels. I don't have Sky Sports News so its a welcome addition.

I have to say that i think Setanta Sports News is getting better and better...

actually find myself watching this more than sky sports news..
