He cares about football a whole lot more than Manziel.

To be fair most college starting QBís will have had years of fawning over them through high school and college, being the popular kid who is always told how amazing they are while having their pick of the cheerleaders so itís no surprise most of them are confident cocky shits

But arrogance is a trait in many top proís in all sports. Just canít take to some of them, Iím sure he is a nice chap but give me someone like Christian McCaffrey any day

To be fair, Mayfield was a walk-on at Texas Tech. He started as a freshman then got pissed when he lost his starting job due to injury. (To the Giants backup, btw) He then went to Oklahoma as a walk-on. He won the starting job at Oklahoma and got a scholarship then.

By the way, did anyone see the footage of Vita Vea as a running back in high school?! Basically the equivalent of an army tank going through a load of nissan micra's.

I have no idea what the Browns were thinking. The chances that Barkley is the best player in this draft is higher than Mayfield being the best QB in this draft or Ward being the best CB in this draft. I would have tried to trade with the Jets, since the Jets were taking Darnold anyway. Although the Jets might not have had anything to trade.
Interesting, thanks

Just seen the Ryan Shazier moment.

That was pretty cool.

To even be walking at this point after the injury he sustained is remarkable.

Loved Akers goading the Dallas crowd, and Eagles moving up above Dallas to take a TE they would have liked, called Dallas.

In terms of the pick itself, not convinced we need a second pass catching TE. Would have been better off staying a blocking one later in the draft. We don't have any holes though, so maybe he was just best player available at the time by some distance.

Needed one after losing burton and celek. Back Up OL are basically your blocking tight ends these days.

Anyone able to shed any light on what block numbers we’ll need to buy in to be on the Eagles lower sideline at wembley?

I think we may have reached the point where we need to temper a few expectations on Jimmy G.

Now, I would never have let him go and think he has top 5-10 potential as a QB but he still demonstrated a few issues for the 49ers. He did throw only throw 2 more TDs than INTs.

He's now being paid to play like a top 5 QB from the start. I'm actually a bit bemused that the Niners didn't go for Allen Robinson for him. He's got very few weapons besides Garcon (who is getting on a bit), McKinnon (very good receiving back) and the mismatch of players he had last season. Though getting him McGlinchey (Best of a bad lot, so we'll see) and Pettis (again, on of the best of a bad lot) is a start.

Shanahan can make an offense look a lot better than the sum of the parts anyway, and that's perfect for Jimmy.

Agree with this.

I am slightly concerned that he's going to have a limited bunch of weapons to work with.

Goodwin is a flat out speed demon but I'm not convinced he's a No 1 wide out.

ticketmaster is a complete shambles.

The amount of tickets ALREADY on sale on third party sites for double/treble the value is a disgrace.

Giving up on this today; I'll await a few weeks when prices on stubhub will settle down a tad and pick up some then.

Quarterback Matt Ryan has agreed to a five-year extension with the Atlanta Falcons, and sources told ESPN's Chris Mortensen that the deal makes Ryan the first NFL player to earn $30 million per year.

The deal includes $100 million guaranteed, sources said.

Ryan, who turns 33 on May 17, was entering the final year of a five-year, $103.75 million extension he signed in July 2013.
I wonder who is next.
