Duffy and Dunk would have kittens with Townsend and Zaha running at them. They can deal with what Benteke brings all day long.

Actually the opposite. One of Duffy and dunk would be drawn out to deal with benteke and with wilf and Townsend supporting him bentekes flickons would likely put wilf or Townsend one on one running at the remaining defender. We coped well enough without benteke but we still look a better side with him in it. Just for what he does for the other players. Hes becoming hesky!

I would drop Loftus-Cheek for Benteke.

Think Roy just picks best 11 fit players and try's to make a team and system out of it even if that means shifting players as for subs think lee souare delaney ect are just there to make numbers up don't think he would make tactical sub and use them unless injurys forced his hand.brightons biggest threat is prob set pieces bringing up big players dunk Duffy ect so can see him bringing benteke back to add Hight to team thought RLC done well heading out corners yesterday

We did well without Benteke yesterday. Bournemouth were much more open (especially after our first goal but Brighton are likely to sit deep and have more men behind the ball. Benteke's physical presence may be more useful in attack and in defence. So, I would start with Benteke instead of RLC and depending on the status of game at HT, bring on RLC for Benteke after 50 or 60 minutes. All others same.

No point as stubborn boy won't use them but these are the 7 that won't be utilised effectively next week:

Cavierli
TFM
Kelly
Riedewald
McArthur
Lumeka or Koliko please
Sorloth or wickham if fit but Daly if not
I would say the formation a lineup is spot on, my one concern is Wan-Bissaka is looking like he needs a break and ideally if Ward was fit then he would have walked into the team. Also it is very harsh on McArthur who has been outstanding with his total committment, could he fulfill the attacking role in place of what appears a not quite fully fit/sharp Loftus-Cheek?
As this is a Must win home game against a team that would give everybody a huge boost to gain 3 points, then possibly RLC may be the better attacking starting alternative but could be the toss of a coin as to who should start.
One thing for sure is, we MUST learn to close up a game near the end when leading so as to secure the points, to continue throwing away hard earned points like yesterday is unforgiveable and will only spell disaster come May.

Benteke will start I'm sure of it.

Hopefully no more injuries and Joel Ward will be nearer to a return.

I agree with all of this but he wont change the formation it will be 442 and will only make a sub if he really has to.

Hopefully Benteke will be fit, but are you sure about how quickly his tweaked hamstring will be back to 100%? My experience is that you never quite know...

Hard to quibble with this approach; I guess an alternative would be Wilf playing up front with Benteke, bring in RLC for MacArthur. Harsh on Jimmy Mac, but he would come on for Cabaye or RLC at 60. Giving Roy options from the bench. If Benteke is not fit, same team as yesterday.

Brighton’s CB’s want the ball in the air. They cannot deal with pace.

They found Benteke a piece of piss in November and that was when he wasn’t a wreck.

Two wingers up top, drag the full backs inside and then overlap with the two attacking full backs.

If it’s not working, then you bring Benteke on to see if he has the motivation to prove a point.
