Bournemouth gave us lots of space , cant see Brighton doing that so I think Zaha and Townsend up front would struggle
Hennessey Ward ( if fit ) or TFM PVA Sakho Tomkins Townsend McArthur Milivojevic Cabaye Zaha Benteke ( if fit ) AWB has done well , just feel he has struggled a bit last 2 games , time to rest him . |

Ward------Tomkins---------Sakho------------PVA Andros-----Cabaye--------Milivojevic-----McArthur -------------Zaha----------Benteke/RLC------------ Would play Ward for the aerial ability and experience, and also in the hope that he signs a new contract. (Although AWB would be my first choice next season.) Hope Benteke is fit because they are a real threat from set-pieces with big strikers and huge centre backs. Would like to see Roy use the bench after 75 minutes if we are winning but don't expect it, so haven't named any subs!

Is Propper important to them, as I assume he'll be suspended after his red on Saturday?

The team played much better without Benteke , leave him out and go with the same team , a midfield of Loftus-Cheek , Cabaye , Luka and McArthur will overpower Brighton .

Yes but to win we have to score and defend we seem to do one but not both. Brighton will be a very tough game i like you would stick by the team that played well v Bournemouth and hope if we are in front with ten to go RH makes some changes to help keep it.

.....................Hennessey
AWB .........Tomkins. ....Sakho. .........PVA ......Loftus-Cheek. .....Luka. ....Cabaye ...........................McArthur .................Townsend. .......Zaha. It's 4- 4 -2 but giving licence to McArthur to break forward to help with the goals . Don't get the bring back Benteke argument at all , he offers 0 threat to the opposition goal . |

Quote:
Pretty much everyone who's opinion i heard at the game on Saturday felt we missed Benteke. I would put him back in for RLC, who won us the ball just once (an interception) at Bournemouth, only WH had fewer touched than him, he is not dominant in the air for his size and has overall been slightly disappointing. Lots of potential in RLC but Benteke is more effective in winning balls and bringing people into play. Whether he starts may have more to do with if, and if so how, fit Benteke is. |

Getting twitchy about what news might emerge this week re injuries. I doubt it will be good and suspect it might be slightly worse.
My guess is Roy will go for: Hennessey Fosu-Mensah -- Tomkins -- Sakho -- Van-Aanholt Macca - Cabaye -- Luka -- Loftus-Cheek Townsend ------ Zaha Assuming they are all fit I think Roy will go again with that same lineup except for resting Aaron and bringing Timbo back in. I am genuinely in two minds about the right thing to do at RB but pretty sure Roy will make the change. EDIT - I hadn't realised that Ward is close to fitness and if he is available I think Roy will pick him TBH. No disrespect to Aaron who has in my mind made his breakthrough. Danpalace made a good summary above re Brighton's shape. I would add that their overlapping right back, Schelotto, is a real handful and we need to make sure that we handle him. If it was me picking the team I would actually push Ruben up and wide right to partner Wilf, put Andros back at RW and shift Macca to the left side to deal with that threat. I would have Ruben and Andros operate in the same way as the pair did on Saturday though. I don't expect Roy to do the same but for me it would fit this week's challenge. In particular I would ask Ruben when we don't have the ball to sit tight on dale Stephens. EVERYTHING revolves around Stephens and if we allow him time he will pick us off. He isn't an awesome player but he is a perfect fit for them and makes the most of his ability within that. Not to be underestimated but don't expect to see him go to a big club etc. They have 2 tricky wingers that can on their day be .... 'tricky' ![]() Having said all of that we need to impose ourselves on them and give them a lot to think about. Keep it on the deck because our forwards will win nothing in the air. Also our forwards should gamble and always assume Dunk will cock up because he pretty much will every match at least once. COYP

Because it's hard to imagine him sprinting back into the team? Perhaps a half arsed jog.

Shouldn't underestimate how big the loss of Propper will be to Brighton this weekend either.
One of their 3 players to start every game this season, a key man in the middle to win the ball back. Probably going to bring in Kayal in as replacement but would be a real issue for them if Dale Stephens picked up an injury or was sent off. |

Wilf and Townsend as the forwards have worked well against sides that give us space to exploit in my opinion.
I think this is the game that could either make or break Benteke. If he bags a brace he will instantly become a Palace hero and it could do him wonders. But his ability as a premier league player alone is in real jeopardy. Hennessey AWB Tomkins Sakho PVA Luka Cabaye Macca Wilf Townsend Benteke
