What hasn't improved?
38 games ago the team versus the team now? Not improved? Ha ha. We'd have fergie as manager and we'd still lose games. Home games. Concede goals. And we will concede more goals and lose games. Just like everybody else in this division. When you set the bar for yourself so high. You will always be disappointed.

I said over the last 38 games we would be rock bottom.. your counter argument was the 38 games before hand we were champions league positions.. so looking at both we have gone from champions league positions to rock bottom... so how is that an improvement? You have backed up my point We have better players yet worse results. Trust me my bar isn't high.. I would be happy if we finished 10th-14th.. but on the evidence on show I would suggest that would be a struggle.. we aren't showing signs of improvement at all.. we have only won once at home.. and conceded 7 in our last two games.. regression |

What's Klinsmann doing? I thought his name was mentioned during the latter part of last season.

A relegation escape specialist that had Bolton regularly in 8th and around there. Such a anti English stereotype comment. And I'm not even really in favour of BFS but please use your own brain instead of just go along with the anti English manager media

Our home form has been punishing - it's not just about the result yesterday. We don't look sharp, we don't look particularly fit and we're disorganised in defence and attack. |

It wasn't a counter argument. I was pointing out stats which weren't a real interpretation. And equally irrelevant to this season.
I've seen no evidence that we will finish 15th or below. Given that were now at the end of October. And I expect you will be satisfied come the end of this season. Although I see 13th/14th would be a disappointing season and below that would be a bad season. Neither would be a reason to sack him in a season of transition. A relegation battle, however would see the pressure ranked up and there would certainly be shortcomings on him and this thread would be more relevant to reality than it is now. And Steve would have to do some thinking. Do you believe Pardew is about to be sacked? Because that is what a meglamamiac foreign owner with warped expectations might do. And don't put words into my mouth that I agree with you in anyway.

Because he did an excellent job when here as defensive coach/assistant to Dougie, and has done extremely well in Australia as manager?

How many other Premier League clubs would have Popovic on their shortlist for a new manager?

They aren't stats.. they are facts.. the amount of losses over a sustained period. And that's evidence of us finishing lower than 15th.. even basing it on this season alone we couldn't beat WBA Bournemouth or West Ham at home My point is we have regressed.. your stat added with my argument backed that up. I don't see any evidence of us finishing above 15th.. Do I see him getting sacked soon.. no.. i think he'll get more time.. and we will continue the cycle |

And what is the bigger picture that you see and we apparently don't?

I like Southampton.. they pull no punches when it comes to managers and always seem to one step ahead. Very well run club that we should be looking to emulate
