Disgraceful behaviour at boardroom level. The next guy will be the fourth manager in ten months. After Pardew was given a five year deal for no apparent reason.

The club is an absolute laughing stock.

I was a fan but after watching yesterday's match , I can't decide if Dyche is a miracle worker and gets the best out of a poor squad or he has bought badly and assembled said squad himself and doesn't know to find a good player .

But haven't we blown out Dyche twice, not to mention he isn't going to fancy it much now when we have shown we sack managers most years, surprised Parish hasn't got himself a nickname like Deadly Doug got at Villa

This would be my fear. Dyche seems like a proud man.

Although I do think SP could explain himself and admit gracefully to Dyche that the pragmatic type like himself is what they've really needed and learnt that.

No chance Dyche would leave Burnley mid-season.

What's the fuss about "boring" football? As we saw several times under Pulis, winning is not boring. Who cares what the neutrals think? A win is a win, and we'll be happy as long as we're getting points.

I'd rather be bored and happy than angry every weekend! And judging by the feelings on Pardew on here, most feel the same.

In summer, you could have offered Dyche:

- A squad that has just stayed up with a good run and is confident
- a transfer window
- a pre-season training (which is a huge help top the way he manages)
- the confidence that he was first choice.

All of that has gone. Add in the fact that you have had 24 permanent managers in 23 years and have just sacked one after 4 games, compared with at Burnley where he wouldn't be sacked if we got relegated, then I don't think there's any point chasing him now. In summer, if Palace had gone all out to get him, he may have gone. Not now.

PS - Sunday's game was an exception. I've never seen us play as badly and win; I haven't often see us play as badly full stop. Against West Brom we had 65% possession (but were less effective in front of goal that you were on Sunday - zero shots on target! Hence the signing of Wood); in the away games at Chelsea and Spurs we got forward far more often and far more effectively. Frankly, we got away with one on Sunday. Them's the breaks, we got lucky.

This.

He'd be mental to even think about joining us now.

We should just let Roy have it for the rest of the season then do all we can to get BFS/Dyche in further down the line.

Was told today that Dyche was our number one choice but he turned us down. De Boer was no 3 choice after Pellegrino.

Categorically incorrect, I promise you.

He desperately wanted the Palace job but was effectively told "don't call us, we'll call you." (Well, his agent was.)
