Add to quality players list. Benteke was can he show quality again after his knee op?

Hennessey - Meh. There's worse number twos in the league, but it would be nice to feel more confident in our backup keeper. Maybe when Jules retires, bring in a promising young keeper to be our number two and challenge Guaita in the future.
Speroni - Legend.

AWB - No reason he can't be one of the world's elite right backs, if he works on his crossing a bit. Will do well to keep him this summer and afterwards.
Ward - Will always love him, good backup for Aaron.
PVA - Always liked him, even when he was coming under heavy criticism in 2017. Good modern fullback.
Souare - Try to sell or at the very least loan and let him rebuild his career at a level he's good enough for. Didn't even think he was very good before the car crash, just looked decent compared to poor Kelly being shifted into left back.
Schlupp - Good squad player, excessive criticism is uncalled for.
Tomkins - Bit shaky this season, but obviously a good player. Starting centre back for a few more years to come.
Sakho - Class. His mistake proneness is massively exaggerrated, just because he gives you a heart attack every time he goes for an ambitious dribble or pass, but it usually comes off. His composure and passing accuracy makes him press resistant, a very valuable trait in such a press heavy league.
Kelly - Love him, model squad player.
Dann - Looked alright against Grimsby, but who knows what he's really like at this level post injury? For me, squad player at best, end his career in the championship at worst.

Townsend - Good player, but would like him to shoot more. Could do with some genuine competition.
Zaha - Winger, NOT a striker. Has done most things pretty well recently except finish, in this aspect it looks like he's gone back 3 years. I have faith that he'll come good with more time on the wing. Positive spin is that we have a better chance of keeping him, and he can be our talisman for years to come.
KaiKai - Loan or sell, he'll never be up to this level.
Milivojevic - Class, if he finishes the season strongly I'd expect interest from big clubs on the continent.
Kouyate - Poor passer, terrible at shooting, but excellent at breaking up play and driving us forward. Basically suited to counter attacking, so a shoe in for games against the better teams, but should be benched against your Cardiffs, Burnleys, Watfords.
McArthur - How many more seasons of consistently good performances before he's considered a club legend? Love him, proper Palace player.
Meyer - A central midfielder, not a wide man. Play him there, and definitely start him against the lesser teams where we dominate possession.
Riedawald - I quite liked him in his limited game time under Hodgson last season, but he's reaching the age where he needs to be playing regular football. Loan or sell.

Ayew - Still think he's a winger, but looked alright up front vs Wolves, and did about as much as he could vs Watford. Glad he's turned things around a bit.
Benteke - Will never be worth 120k a week again imo, and will be a big drain on the club for that reason, but still our best striker and will improve us significantly when he's fit enough to start.
Wickham - Bit like Scott Dann, who knows if he's still up to the Prem even as a squad player/backup? Just hoping for the best.

If I was to rank our squad vs the rest of the league, I'd put us 13th or 14th, so basically where we are in the table. Top 8 defence, mid table midfield as it stands but potentially top 8 if we get the best out of Meyer, and a bottom 6 attack, just because of no goalscorer. Our chances created, expected goals, clean sheets, possession, basically everything except for goals scored points to a team that would compete for top 8 with a half decent striker. Make it through this season, maybe with a stop gap like Niasse or someone this window, and I pray we can identify and afford a genuinely good striker in the summer. All in all though, the state the squad is far less bleak than certain posters would have you believe.

Great summary. I agree with pretty much all of this.

Of course he is decent for us but there are lots of central defenders in our league that will not be on 100,000 + per week .

Benteke has been injured as has Wickham. We have insurance against injuries, which helps plug the financial hole to some extent.

I doubt that any insurance policy we have will cover anywhere near Benteke salary

Scott Dann is a brilliant first team/squad player and in today's market won't be bettered.

Name people we can bring in to better the squad at a lower cost.

Otherwise you're just spouting a load of bollocks.
Just don't think it is sustainable for us to be paying these sort of salaries
