Wan-Bissaka
Couldn't see another thread so...
Thrown right in at the deep end, but came out of it admirably today. Lost the ball a couple of times, yet found the strength, pace and determination to get it back. I was surprised how confident he seemed and think the young man deserves some praise. Let's hope he can continue playing the way he did today, because he proved he could have a good future. |

I thought he was pretty good. I did lol at the cross attempt in the second half though

Should have prevented the corner which lead to their goal
Great debut though. Man of the match for sure. About time a new one has come through.

I'd rather he was in the squad than some of the other wasters. Academy players will always get a boatload of chances from most fans to see what they've got.
Gave his all, and once he gets a little more comfortable I think we'll see a better player going forward as he is more than capable from what I've seen. Having Sakho and Tomkins alongside him would help massively next week (fingers crossed).

So happy to see a new academy player get a start in the PL. Stuck to his task well and looks pretty quick. Hopefully he'll be competing with Ward next season in place of TFM as well as providing an option on the right wing.

Did well today. Tough making your debut against such a high level team. Thought he grew into the game nicely, made some nice tackles and made only a limited number of mistakes (mostly in non-dangerous positions for Tottenham).
Overall, he should be very pleased with how today went! |

Very impressed and pleased for him.
His overall work rate is to be admired. Just shows what having players who have a point to prove can make. He'll only get better with more game time. Hope he starts next week.

Did well. I still haven't seen if it actually went out for a corner.

Was due to go out on loan at the end of the window but Palace said they needed him in the squad.
Absolutely delighted for him, he's been here since he was 11 after coming from Croydon based Junior Elite, started out as a winger and I've genuinely never seen a winger defend as well as he did when he was in the U18s. Then continued to do well as a winger in the 23s before being turned into a RB/RWB and transitioned almost seamlessly. His versatility could work in his favour, particularly in the sense of the ability to go forward from defence. A little reminiscent of Clyne (not making a comparison in terms of ability to be clear)

To be quite honest it was worth the admission fee alone to see an academy player make an impressive debut

Great to see an academy player get his debut ! Better off the ball than on the ball but made some great tackles, kept positioning and shape well and no rash tackles (take note fosu men!).
Hopefully he'll grow into the role if he gets more minutes and will offer a threat going forward. Shame Roy didn't throw him a compliment in the post match interview ... |

"I thought he played extremely well, though that wasn’t a surprise. I don’t think we’d have put him in there – however desperate our situation – if we didn’t think he was capable. It was a big ask, because he’s trained with the first team for a period of time now but he’s not really had any opportunities to play in the first team. To get your first game at Selhurst Park against Tottenham Hotspur and the way that they play, and in a team that is a little bit wounded – in terms of those players around you – I thought he handled it extremely well."

The one positive aside from the fact that we are not being turned completely over by top sides even with half our squad absent. Shame Hennessey's best ever game for us was for nothing in the end.
