We can only loan out after tomorrow though. No more ins.

i believe we can do permanent transfers out too also, just not to other PL teams.
btw. The deadline is PL arranged, not the official FIFA and from what i have heard it is not legal binding, which means someone could purchase or loan a player up and until the FIFA window closes at the end of August. I would not be surprised to see MU go back on the agreement if it suits then. btw, Palace and MU were against this PL transfer window close. |

I’m sorry, but there is zero proof that he is prem standard

He's played for Wales against top opponents and not looked out of place. If you've ever seen him play football then surely you could see the potential he has?
He desperately needs some luck on the injury front then we may start to see that potential. PMA |

When do we have to announce the 25? I assume anybody overage and under contract has to be included at that point.

We’ve lost Sako and effectively replaced Yohan RLC with Meyer and Kouyate. You could argue like for like. So have we we improved the squad from last year? Dont see much of an improvement on last years squad that caused us so many issues. First 11-12 - is good we all know that. Beyond that it’s still weak imo. It could all change by 5pm however

Need another two imo - squad isn't any stronger but hopefully we won't have such bad luck with injuries this time and we of course have a stable team/manager going into the season.
We must get another option to play across the front positions - Antonio ideally or Ayew if not. The central defence looks threadbare depending on how long Dann is likely to be out for. Someone who can play central defence and midfield would be handy. |

Jonny should have some value being a Welsh international.

We all have wanted Jonny to break into the first team and do well - but I feel that ship has sailed.

The 25 as it stands
Sentimentality aside, I can’t see how anyone values Jonny over Jairo as a long or even a short term prospect.
We all love Jonny but he’s nearly 25 and has managed 60-odd games in the last four seasons. Jairo is 21 and has comfortably topped that. We might have to accept that it’s too late to be talking about Jonny in terms of potential now. Edit: That’s including sub appearances too. Last edited by Riley; 09-08-2018 at 08:45 AM. |

The working assumption is close of play tonight but it’s not spelled out explicitly in the info I could find. It’s actually quite key as if you have more than 25 seniors you can play them until that squad date if it stayed as Sept 1st when the loan out window closes.

If that's the squad I can see Inn is being loaned out and Sako resigning before the end of August. Does that work as he's out of contract?

That would make sense, if he is reasonable with his pay demands.

I’m not sure that Inniss even featured in the friendlies so I can’t see much point in keeping him particularly if we have to name the 25 man squad on Friday. That at least gives us the option of an out of contract signing.

That was my theory but it seems we have signed Ayew on loan

It's a long season, and we have injury-prone forwards...
