Was literally about to quote that bloke. Absolutely clueless!

All clubs have good and bad supporters. I've never had any problems with Liverpool fans.

Have you read (ex-player and Liverpool legend), Jamie Carragher lately ? The bloke is away with the fairies. And the TV and radio studios and press, are chocker with half-wit ex-players writing drivel. |

I once had the pleasure of doing an internship as part of a course, at the Liverpool Echo. A really nice, straightforward and friendly bunch, (mostly Liverpool supporters, few Everton and one Tranmere), is what I remember.

Not sure about that. SP said recently that we have spent over £200m in the last few years on players.

Roy Hodgson's teamtalk has just been done for him by the arrogance of Liverpool fans.
They are totally out of touch with the fact that Palace are bang in form and can certainly give anyone a hard game with the attacking threat that we now pose shown by the fact that since our injured players returned we are 7 games unbeaten and averaging nearly 3 goals a game having conceded just 5 goals with 4 of our last 5 games being clean sheets. Bring it on COYP CPFC |

Time for a Benteke hat-trick and a Sakho inspired clean sheet if you ask me.

Since we have been promoted our net spend is around £170m. That is about £60m more than Fulham despite them having spent 4 years in the Championship. It is over £70m less than Liverpool (who had net transfer gains for 2 of those seasons). |

I bet you never went to Anfield in the 70s then!

You lot get wound up at anything these days. Maybe if you just avoided their own message boards (why anyone would voluntarily do that is beyond me, but hey ho), you wouldn't get your knickers in a twist.

I don’t think anyone’s ‘getting wound up’ Paulo. It’s a discussion at their outlook on things.

The problem is, this type of opinion is backed up by the likes of Souness (who, barring Zaha knows none of our players and has no clue to our system - watch him talk about us being "direct" and "streetfighters" if he's on the panel next week) and Carragher. Sky and BT are full of scousers and their channels are desperate for them to win the league, so they get additional buys. Sky's coverage will be all about Liverpool, can they win the league, how good is Salah yadda yadda.
We win next week. Convinced of it.

I wonder if some people aren’t wound up and are instead just approval seeking? ‘Look at these nasty scousers who think we’re crap outside of Wilf, please rate us!’ Sure the majority aren’t like this and genuinely hate Liverpool, but reckon there’s a few.

1968 in the FA Cup vs Spurs, 1-1, then Spurs lost 2-1 at home. Rather a long time ago I agree, but no problems in either game

To be fair, they were the last team to beat us, coming from behind to win 6 minutes from time.
We have Tomkins back, and it will be Schlupp or Kouyate in for Cabaye who was replaced late by RLC and our bench is significantly stronger now. Their team last week was very similar to the one we faced, Gomez in for Matip making them weaker and Alisson in for Karius at the back, Keita in for Henderson the only other change. Not sure where their extreme confidence comes from. I would expect it to be relative close again, they are favourites of course but not the extent their fans are thinking. Hopefully their players fall into that trap and get a bloodied nose for it. |

Had a mate text me with 'top of the league' after 1 game ... seriously ... ******* deluded fans, nothing but a bunch of bridesmaids.
Hope we smash them, they will struggle with out pace and physicality.

It's unfortunate that this is your perception. Nobody has a divine right to a PL place, except Brighton of course. If you are referring to table predictions then saying that you think we'll finish in nth place isn't suggest a divine anything. Mental.

Given that the whole media shower only ever talk about the sainted "top six", (except when they are trying to stir up a transfer "to the elite" for any special talents playing for the other 14 clubs), we shouldn't be surprised that fans of the six don't have a scooby about the "lesser clubs".
How many 'top six' fans even have a clue about Everton or Newcastle ? |
