"We picked up a couple of knocks against Fulham, but those players are now fit."
The new players are "coming along leaps and bounds."

Roy being a bit coy about injuries. Saying everyone fit that took knocks at Fulham, but no specifics on Wickham, Meyer etc. Just said new players coming on in leaps and bounds.

I missed that. Did he say Dann and Wickham are back or apart from them we've got a full squad to pick from?

No specifics, even though he was asked about them.

just how good is 'x'?
how special will 'x' be? are you pleased with a great run of form? how pleased are you that your amazing, once in a century quality player signed a new contract? ----- such total, puerile, arbitrary dross - stock questions with no imagination. And what resutls do they get?

That didn't yield much but glad to hear there are no new injuries.
He said: 'I have a fully fit squad to choose from' but yet we have no Dann, Wickham or Williams. No clear indication whether Meyer and Ayew will be on the bench. |

Is it my imagination or are these things getting shorter and shorter. Especially this season? No big deal and I would rather Roy was with the players than chatting but the last few have been particularly short.

did it not come into any of their heads to ask about Max Meyer, one of the highest profile signings the club has ever made

“Full squad to choose from”
That may or may not include long term injuries wickham and Dann That may include the new signings as I’m sure they a physically fit but may not choose them due to match sharpness Clear as mud The fact he’s being coy about it however makes me suspect we may see them involved. For me it could be: Kouyate bench and possible starter Mayer possible bench Ayew possible bench

Summary from club Twitter feed...
Roy Hodgson's pre-Liverpool press conference will be live from Selhurst Park at 1:30pm. Tune in live on the official #CPFC app or on To view the link you have to Register or Login Roy says the squad's looking very good. "We picked up a couple of knocks against Fulham, but those players are now fit." The new players are "coming along leaps and bounds." Roy: Zaha's new deal quashes any speculation over his long-term future. We're very happy with him - he's well liked as a person and a player. Has a "talismanic quality" to him. Roy: Of course you look at the attacking threat they pose [in preparation]. We know where their strengths lie, but knowing it and stopping it are different things. We're at home and have strengths of our own. "We believe strongly in [Aaron's] ability," says Roy. "We believe he'll get better & better. We're delighted with him." Roy: [On today's Open Training] "It's the type of thing teams do these days and it needs to happen. It's important there's that closeness between the fans and the players. I'm very pleased with it." Roy: [Monday will be] very special. It's made easier by the fact we won the first game. It will be very difficult for us. We know what we're up against but we're ready for it! That's it for Roy's press conference. The full video will be on the Official #CPFC app and To view the link you have to Register or Login very shortly! |

If I had to guess, I'd say Ayew will be on the bench but Meyer will play in the U23s game at 1pm.

Were cheese and pickle sandwiches also available?
What does Roy prefer in his sandwich? |
