In reality though, for all intents and purposes it belongs to the club or at least the current shareholder (Parish?) I do wonder if it also protects the stadium from say the Americans but I would be very surprised if they had taken a chunk of the club and agreed to put a large slice of investment into the ground without at least partial ownership of the groun as security...

Got to admit a lot of this stuff usually goes over my head but you get the idea!

I have to admit I never realised the ground was still held in a separate legal entity to the club. So I guess the same questions pop into my head as they did during the Noades tenure - is whatever vehicle owns the ground charging rent to the club for the privilege of playing there, if so how much and what profit is the vehicle making on the arrangement?

Why? The club offices are in Soho...

Seems like a bit of an odd requirement to me. I think it would be great to have the training ground closer to 'home', but how many years has this search gone on now?

No public transport to that site meant the boys were reliant on parents etc driving them there. A big problem for many in our catchment area.

I suppose if the site were available now, there might be more traction in giving the Godstone site to the first team for training and changing their Beckenham training site into the academy. At least the Beckenham site has train, tram and buses.

But is it still the case that both need to be located together for the top academy category? Seems an unnecessary burden on clubs to have to do that, especially if your club is in an area where land is in short supply and a premium price.

mental really that everything the club needs is just up the road at its original home, which itself needs a lot of tlc, a 100million quids worth to begin would help, and we can't access it. If we could then the sky is the limit as to how big the club could become.

We can just send minibuses around to pick kids up. I doubt many of the kids younger than 13 get public transport by themselves anyway.

The company owning the ground is CPFC Selhurst Park Limited.

The last accounts up to 30 June 2016 showed the directors as Parish, Blitzer and Harris.

Under principal activity it states 'the company owns a football stadium and has not traded during the year'.

The only movement in the accounts was a depreciation charge of 56k so no evidence that any rent is being paid.
