Fans at the match have picked up on this and although we all love the lad there’s a definite dip in form - I think he is better suited to games against the top 6. Wardy has never let us down so assuming he is match fit then definitely an option for Roy especially with Xmas games coming up

Jus saw “highlights” we looked slow to le ball and left them acres of space to play in. Luka was right in saying it’s not acceptable to concede 3 glz in under 20 minz. To me we don’t look like we’ve the stomach to survive this season...

The game was very open after they equalised - plenty of effort from the team

I think we should have looked at this week as a 3 match series, not as one single match in isolation.

So, using AWB as an example, if you asked me which player is better between AWB and Ward, I’d say AWB (although not in every respect).

But if you said, which of the two is better if Aaron has already played twice this week and is running out of steam (both physically and mentally), then it becomes a much tighter decision. Ward’s experience and fresher legs might have done better yesterday.

I think I’d have rotated AWB and Ward for either Brighton or Hammers, and I’d also have considered a one match benching for Tomkins and Luca, both of whom have had knocks and looking weary to me. Weariness will lead to drops in performance and even judgement.

Luca wants to take a good look at himself this season. Poor performances, poor leader.

Decent penalty taker.

Agree with all of this especially his judgement - he’s started to hestitate. Brighton would have been perfect for Wardy but Roy must be worried about dropping AWB - a lot of fans won’t like it. Some even gave him motm yesterday and blamed Hennessey for the goals.

No. So stop trying to be clever.

He's been nowhere near the player he was last season, a few important goals and none more so than today.

I don't rate him as a captain and on the whole his passing is dreadful losing possession in dangerous areas.

Match winner today but a mile away from mom
