Jordan was out spoken, emotional and arrogant. Parish is more level headed and the safer choice, but I too liked Jordan being owner. He went against the grain of football echelons, for that I admire him. Parish says the right stuff for PR. Jordan just said what he thought. Jordan was a car crash but he was my car crash. I honestly dont feel connected to Parish in the same way, although I know it’s better run by Parish.

I enjoyed reading SJ’s book, I enjoyed the promotion year, I enjoyed the Dowie to Charlton circus, the rest was just plain strange. It was like a rollercoaster with a blindfold on and you just never knew what was going to happen next or where you were going. It was also like driving a Ferrari at 120mph round the UK streets, fun but it was only a matter of time before it crashed and you knew when it did it would be beyond economical repair and a write off.

I often think this but haven’t quite worked out why. |

Im happy saying I will always like Jordan more than Parish. Im pro Parish (I didnt like how he handled the singing section however) but I just feel he’s abit faceless, where as Jordan was like a big fat cat smoking a cigar, he embraced being an underdog (which is why I like Palace), Parish it feels wants to fit in.

Jordan was a massive chancer who made a huge amount of cash from the mobile phone boom of the late nineties. Then instead of disappearing to a beach, he bought us out when we were heading to the death the first time round. Not the best owner ever, but he still saved us at the time - not the trust.

I don't think a lot of people realise what a poor position we were at in 2010. The state of our ground meant we were miles behind all of our rivals and we were a loss making commitment to whoever took over. CPFC2010 were the only realistic option in town, and even then it was only because Parish talked the other 3 into it, but even then I think these guys realised that rebuilding the ground was outside of their financial capability.
Not to say things have been perfect, far from it, but what Parish has done is put us in a position where we can start to realise our potential as the biggest club in South London (I don't count Chelsea as South London despite their postcode). When did we become such a miserable, ungrateful set of supporters? If I was in charge and had to put up with some of the shit thrown his way I think I would've just sold up and said **** you lot. |

If I was asked was Jordan a good chairman then I guess the answer is no, if I was asked who's era I preferred out of parish and Jordan, Jordan's wins hands down. Felt every emotion enjoyed every minute even when the footy was dire. Now if I'm honest I'm bored. I'm bored of ground hog season, I'm bored of the premier league and I'm bored riding our luck and never seemingly pushing forward in what is the best opportunity we will ever have to push forward. There isn't the same feel between fans and club, the fans are split like brexit and year after year the excitement is dying a little bit more for me. Major part of that is the premier league and dropping out of it really doesn't worry me like before and secondly it must be down to the whole feel of the place now which ultimately goes down to who is in charge. All my opinions and feelings but short answer to explanation is i far more enjoyed the SJ times |
